I agree and tbh songs like Diamond Heart, Joanne, John Wayne, Perfect Illusion, Sinner's Prayer, Angel Down are some of my all-time favourite Gaga songs. It's aged way better than Chromatica and dare I say even some of ARTPOP.

It's perception really suffered in the fanbase cause Gaga tried pulling this high concept "it's about my late aunt, it's about family" and then we'd listen to songs like A-YO and Dancin' in Circles and yeah, it just doesn't match. I'd say Joanne looks and sounds better seen through the MAYHEM pov. It really is this eclectic and chaotic stripped-down collection of songs.

I absolutely adore Joanne! It’s so vulnerable and beautiful. It manages to be stripped yet still have the chaotic all-over-the-place personality of a Gaga record.

It’s my favorite along with Born This Way and Mayhem.

Diamond Heart is super underrated and should have been the lead single. Other than that, Joanne is ok for me. I just don’t love anything country related, so I accepted it.

It’s an amazing album, I love it so much! A lot of Joanne's songs are my favorite songs of all time. It’s definitely one of the albums that spoke to me the most and left a lasting mark in my life

I remember pretending to like the album in here, when it came out, because everyone was being too negative about it and I thought it was rude . I said it was one of my favorite GaGa albums ever, before I actually heard it . 

When I actually got to hear it, I was like: "Oh, that's not... in the sense that... " . I still pretended to like it for a couple months, to balance out the negativity, because I'm fake like that . 

In retrospective, it's not a bad album, just not her strongest area by any stretch of the imagination. It is well produced, and has some strong efforts, such as "A-Yo", "Million Reasons" and "Joanne". 

It was a valid risk to take, and I respect her for following her instincts, and artist's journey will not be only hits, experimentation is a vital part of the process

Loved the album so much when it came out. Now I feel uncomfortable listening to it as a whole. Not that it's not a great album, only because I know gaga went through a hard time during that era.
