River 116,183
Yesterday I watched The Lady and The Tramp (the original) after so many years since the last time I watched it and I was really in love with how simple but yet magical it is, how every move, every dialogue had a lot of thinking behind it, to make it perfect and out of the box. And then the iconic spaghetti scene arrived and I was so amazed by how genius the scene is, it is a very simple idea for a scene, but this scene became so iconic and one of the symbols of love and romance, u still see couples recreating this scene 70 years later. And then I wondered, when was the last time we had an iconic scene that will be recreated for many years, that when u see a food, an item or location, you'll remember that particulate moment from the film? will it happen again? Because the situation of cinema right now is pretty dull and miserable, even the big directors barely making any cultural impact, like Tatantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, was a huge success, but didn't land anything iconic, while Pulp Fiction for example, the dance scene and dance moves are still one of the highlights of cinema. And I don't think that superheroes and blockbusters are the blame because many times even they brought us some iconic moments. River 116,183
Like this one, it always blows my mind, the details of these few seconds are mind blowing, the genius brain of Steven Spielberg in a few seconds. dynamite 58,525
I can't remember the last time. Everything feels samey and like a rehash of something already done. Nothing feels new or groundbreaking anymore. It's depressing. All magic and wonder has gone from the world. Ironically though, you making a serious post will be one for the history books Edited April 13 by dynamite Like a poem said by a neydy in red 1

" I WANTED TO PROTECT U" all this sh-tty millennial writers are so uninspired it's disgusting. Defmix100 6,356
I think you're right the ones I can think of are from ages ago like the Titanic pose or the matrix bullet dodge. Even something big like the Dune movies I can't really think of a scene that people can automatically recreate a reference to

TwistedTeeth 2,232
I would say the Spiderverse movie had an iconic scene with Miles Morales' jump from a building! Otherwise, I can't really think of any other ones. CHOMP.
MOT 3,020
The Irishman is a VERY long movie, and it's Robert De Niro and Al Pacino and Joe Pesci in a gangster movie, so at various stages during the first three hours I found myself thinking 'seen this before somewhere' but I hadn't ever seen the closing half hour before. I found that very moving, very poignant, and the scene where De Niro's daughter figures out what has happened to Pacino is harrowing and memorable in its own quiet way.
