Why are people ignoring the real betrayed album?

The OG LG1 with Wonderful, Blueberry Kisses, Second Time Around, Fooled Me Again & Let Love Down. We know LG1 wasn't about fame but was about adult contemporary pop :grr:

Soooo true bestie! Lmao. I created my own concept for LG1 that’s legit all of this…..

Album: Love Sick Girl

Hollywood

Fooled Me Again

Blueberry Kisses

Vanity

Retro Dance Freak

Again Again

Retro Sexual

Rock Show

Trigger

Love Sick Girl

Spin U Around

Fever

Let Love Down

Wonderful

Blueberry Kisses (Demo)

Mayhem gives me strong pre fame vibes like these songs, I’m in love

for me is just marketing. from my perspective:

1. the album (as SHE SAID on the apple video) was meant to be industrial and grunge, but what i dont buy from her is that was meant to create an album without a "vibe" or "sound".

2. the flop from joker 2 and disease (yes disease wasnt a hit for gaga standards) influenced on the discography to change plans.

3. for me, they decided to make the album with more genres in order to have more chances to release a song that can hit the charts.

4. but since they teased such a dark album and released disease, they started of the idea of the shattered mirror/fragmentation. so they kept the visual but she made 50 songs for this album, im not sayin she randomly created taylor esque songs for the charts, maybe these songs we have are mostly part of this mayhem sessions.

5. other thing they did to avoid the flop is that they put DWAS on the album.

is kinda underwhelming because of the visuals-songs talking about an artist that USUALLY the sound of the songs match with the visuals but also i think is not a big deal. Girl is almost 40, i know we always wanted another TFM 2.0... just enjoy the music and if you dont like dont hear often. Dont feel bad if you dont like it too. I admid that half of the album doesnt connect with me, and thats OK! is normal... we are growing up...

omfg she literally never said "the album was meant to be industrial and grunge" atp some of you are just dumb or intentionally misunderstanding her words for nothing

i'm done, never entering this cursed thread again

Gaga: did you know that at some point of the creative process I liked so much Perfect Celebrity I even thought of making the rest of the songs me and my producers created to sound like it? But I changed my mind again because Michael rightfully told me the other sounds were great too and so I thought you know what I'm all of this I'm everything I'll make an effort not to put an outfit/unique vibe to this record and I don't regret it, I'm very proud of MAYHEM

Some fans: oh WoW... so that means the whole album was meant to be grunge and industrial but she was manipulated by her entire context to be more successful and mainstream... GUYS wake up she lied to all of us! what do u mean she said that to explain the nature of MAYHEM? she lost her mind and identity... where is the RahRahGa :(

Ten pages later is OP still alive…

Honestly as much as I disagree with everything OP said I can’t help but think this thread and thesis would’ve gone over much better if OP didn’t take such a self righteous tone. Like that made me want to disagree from the jump before I even considered the points being made

Vinyl pressings (physical production in general) doesn't work with the timeline you just propossed

Is the OP ok ? I think he received a way too much answers to his thread despite the fact that what he said obviously wrong. :laughga:

The rumours about a Funk/David Bowie-like album have been here since the beginning of the last year.

And even before that, there were rumours of a Rock album like Joanne.

But ppl never thought of a Born This Way/ARTPOP inspired album before Abracadabra and Disease were released as singles. :ally:

In fact Mayhem is marketed as chaotic album but thematically, the narrative and the sonorities are very cohesive.

Mayhem's album cover is explained in "Don't Call Tonight" :

We twist the knife too many times to say goodbye

[...]

And in the mirror, I get weak

At the girl starin' back at me

They're your eyes, they're your eyes

gaga-mayhem-e1741352482630.jpg

I feel like MAYHEM is an album about the duality of her identities, her mistakes and her desire of being loved.

I'm here to take a break from university homeworks :/

Can we just accept that this is the music she wanted to put out? She is constantly evolving. Especially rapidly during the creation process. Just because things were different earlier in the process doesn't mean the end result is a betrayal or whatever.
