Girl is almost 40, i know we always wanted another TFM 2.0... just enjoy the music and if you dont like dont hear often. Dont feel bad if you dont like it too. The rumours about a Funk/David Bowie-like album have been here since the beginning of the last year. And even before that, there were rumours of a Rock album like Joanne. But ppl never thought of a Born This Way/ARTPOP inspired album before Abracadabra and Disease were released as singles. In fact Mayhem is marketed as chaotic album but thematically, the narrative and the sonorities are very cohesive. Mayhem's album cover is explained in "Don't Call Tonight" : We twist the knife too many times to say goodbye [...] And in the mirror, I get weak At the girl starin' back at me They're your eyes, they're your eyes I feel like MAYHEM is an album about the duality of her identities, her mistakes and her desire of being loved.
