Do you know that was not just fashion, but it was about drugs? :ororomunroe:

In rave culture, MDMA is popular, and its users sometimes use pacifier accessories to disguise their drugs, stringing MDMA tablets mixed with the candies. Many ravers chew on baby pacifiers or lollipops to offset the effects of involuntary teeth grinding caused by MDMA. Hence why today a lot of rave parties and beyond are banning pacifiers.

How many of y'all had this goes over your head and just learned about this today? :ororomunroe:

Wondering what stuffs she will do that will goes over our head until later for The Mayhem Ball, should be interesting :huntyga:

It absolutely is about drugs. Pacifiers are big in rave culture, as are copious amounts of armbands you trade with each other. Dunno why people think it's not, like it was even called the ArtRAVE! :Cautious:

Yeah pacifiers definitely are a rave culture thing! More so for EDM, if you go to more techno/hardcore raves (at least in the US) there isn’t as much of that kandi/neon style involved, typically the style of dress, if anyone abides to one at all, is more tactical/industrial. I was never much of an EDM girl so I never saw that style of dress out in the wild much

I knew about it because I'm old lol. In the mid 90s everyone was wearing them and it was this big taboo thing because of their connection to raves.
