I don’t feel like there’s any reason for her to lie about this? Obviously it’s a terrible look, a huge loss of income, and a complete era collapse. She’s an artist and clearly cares about her work, I don’t think she would just throw it all away because she’s too lazy to perform or actively hates her fans and making money or something. I feel like disappointed fans are not looking at the bigger picture. You think the current government is exactly itching to welcome an alternative black musician with a queer fan base to perform her sex positivity album? They’re certainly not gonna do her any favors, if not actively stop her from getting her visas. That’s my conspiracy theory anyways.

Even if she doesn't,  im sure the mexico show was cancelled because she had shipping arrangements from US to Mexico directly and organizing all that again for 1 show only is expensice af. 

I get the anger from Mexico tbh, 3rd show cancelled in a row and people bought plane/hotel/etc tickets and reservations + concert tickets, it's a huge loss for them. The jokes are hilarious ngl but some of the serious replies are... yikes

It is what it is. 
but I had such an amazing evening planned going to see her live with a friend in NYC and going to party after. It would have been yesterday. 
 

then, she rescheduled and we were like fine it’s just two weeks away. Then cancelled again….

 

i mean don’t reschedule a tour date just two weeks out if you are not 100% sure you will not make it at the rescheduled date either….

 

so sad, we ran into some people who came from Florida just to see her….

I’m a casual fan, more like a casual observer of Twigs and I also think there’s some personal battle going on behind the scenes that we aren’t privy to. I don’t know that she’s outright lying about why she’s cancelling, but I wouldn’t be surprised if some personal struggles are getting in the way somehow. It also doesn’t excuse the disappointment and financial burden this places on her fans, and those messages she sent in her Discord were…troubling to say the least. I do think she’s also becoming a bit jaded by her wealth. I think girly needs to just step out of the spotlight for a while. She needs a hiatus. I hope she’s okay and healthy mentally, but she needs a massive overhaul in her approach as a businesswoman, maybe an entirely new team. Just a bad and sad situation all around, for everyone involved. People still go out of their way to see some bigger artists that are notorious for cancelling, like Mariah Carey and Morrissey, but those are superstars, all-time greats. This situation is bad enough to really damage her ticket sales and turnouts in the future in perpetuity. 

Edit: Mariah is notorious for being phenomenally late, maybe not so much for canceling. But there are other huge names that cancel on the regular that will still always sell regardless. Just insert someone else’s name lol
