UK police charge Russell Brand with rape and sexual assault

British police on Friday charged comedian Russell Brand with rape and sexual assault after an investigation sparked by complaints from several women.

The Met has issued a charge and requisition to Russell Brand, 50 (04.02.1975), of Oxfordshire, in connection with the following offences -
One count of rape
One count of indecent assault
One count of oral rape
Two counts of sexual assault

Detectives began investigating in September 2023 after receiving a number of allegations, which followed reporting by Channel 4’s Dispatches and The Sunday Times.

It is alleged that –
In 1999 a woman was raped in the Bournemouth area
In 2001 a woman was indecently assaulted in the Westminster area of London
In 2004 a woman was orally raped and sexually assaulted in the Westminster area of London
Between 2004 and 2005, a woman was sexually assaulted in the Westminster area of London

Russell Brand will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday, 2 May.

Being able to prove a rape from 20+ years ago is a lot. I hope his victims are feeling some sense of relief today. 
I hope they send him to jail for a very, very long time.

I have never cared for him. I found him extremely annoying and unfunny and questioned why he was even famous for a moment. 

I didn’t know what Katy saw in him and why she would even get married to him. Plus in her documentary film you can see how much he hurt her. Pure TRASH. 

It makes sense he tried to save face by becoming preachy and documenting it all. Grifters are gonna grift. I have a feeling the narrative will be “they are trying to persecute Russell because he is a man of God and the woke feminists are mad he left demonic Hollywood!”
