I mean, evidently there is a huge degree of improvisation and a lot of messiness. But it seems to me that they liked the fact of doing the tour in small venues, because it allowed them to speculate even more with the dynamic price and the platinum tickets. People know there are few seats available > they get desperate to get them > they don't get them > one shows up but it's triple what they were willing to pay > they know that if they pass up that chance they'll be left with nothing > they get into debt and buy it. This way, if you are the artist, you end up having practically the same profit margin as if the tour were in stadiums, or even more. But it also lead you to have to make way more dates to reach the same gross right? Would that be good business if you end up making people pay more but on way more dates? Personally I think they were scared of a lower number of people wanting to see Gaga so they play carefully yet knew a core fanbase would show and planned on already making a lot on these. Then the demand was higher than expected so they did the same on more dates.

Damn... She's not a newcomer, folks will go see her for her legacy anyway and the new album's great everywhere so folks will wait to see it live. 5 minutes ago, PartySick said: They could have definitely done more to protect the fans, that's for sure. That's so true... I wish Gaga's forced to deal with dynamic pricing/ platinum scams etc because of her contract clauses. If she's fine with it all that would be so sad. 😭 6 minutes ago, PartySick said: I can name three arenas in Florida that are bigger than the one she's going to in Miami but they must have all been booked already for those dates Same for France that had 6 dates sold out in a few minutes when 2 nights in the country's biggest arena would have given the same total capacity. 3 or 4 nights in this venue would have really absorb the demand in a place fitting for the show specificities. It just had to be pushed back to 2026 max.

The more people are “looking” to buy them, the higher the price. In Europe this was not implemented this way. What was implemented was the Platinum Packages or Platinum Tickets, which consisted of tickets in non-privileged locations at very high prices. In other words, you pay triple for the same location. For practical purposes, it is just as repudiatory, fraudulent and unethical as the dynamic pricing. Isn't it the same in practice, tho? I dunno. I'm pissed off

I'm pissed off I understand that no because those platinum tickets have a fixed price, I think, that is to say that they would not change due to demand? But maybe I'm wrong. Either way, it's heartbreaking.
LauraPalmer 647
i paid $168 each for 2 upper bowl tickets. i don’t think upper bowl is usually that expensive for MSG but i don’t know anymore tbh. but it was doable for me and my seats aren’t obstructed view or anything so i feel good about it. i’m a woman, i insist, it’s my life ♀
elijahfan 25,928
Had to resort to buying a package, this was either that or no show for me. I don’t regret it, but I paid far more than what I had planned.

TinyGa 394
Need to add a poll option for being a victim of overly inflated reseller tickets... I wanted floor at MSG in August (got those easily for Chromatica for about $350 each). I got some lower bowl tickets in the fan presale for way more than I wanted to spend and the September dates, and I'm glad I did. I had a low queue position for the general sale today and the only seats available were through verified resellers, with floor seats at 3x the price. I did not buy. Imagine sitting in the nose bleeds which you paid $1400 for and the person sat next to you tells you they spent $120 because they were at the front of the virtual queue ...or the seat was still available later that day after the "doorbuster rush" when everyone is queued up at the same time and they bought it at 1am like a smarter but riskier person. Siena 6,223
I tried for Seattle during the Citi Presale but when I finally got in there was barely anything left, except for floor seats in the back for over $1400. However later in the afternoon/evening I saw tweets saying they were suddenly dropping more tickets, and I was able to get 2 floor tickets in the 5th row, for about $900 each. Right after I checked out, I checked that row again and suddenly the seats next to mine had gone up to $1880, which is absolutely crazy.
