I’m curious if anyone has been to Joanne Trattoria in NYC and if so, what your experience has been like?!?

It’s on my bucket list…

(Sorry if this has already been discussed, I tried searching and didn’t find anything recently and didn’t want to scroll through a hundred published topics). :ohwell:

@Rat Boy your time to shine

Men are naturally more dominating, aggressive, and logical thinking because we have balls.

I went in December and had a great time. Went alone and ate at the bar. The cocktails were great, the penne vodka was too. I talked Gaga with the bartender and some others that came in.

I also had a great time texting everyone I knew and saying “OMG Gaga is in here”

Then they’d freak out and then I’d say

”I mean she’s here in spirit”

I was tipsy enough to cackle to myself every time. It was a good night

I went back in Feb. 2020, and I had a really nice time! I think it was the same day that Stupid Love came out and they played it about 10 times we were there.

I went with my friend in January and had a great experience! We went during my the day, so it was just us and one other party. It’s a great atmosphere, I love how small and cozy it is, good service, and the food was great! Highly recommend

Went a few years ago. It’s okay. Haven’t been back since - but my Mom liked it enough she has tried asking me to go again with her multiple times.

I went in 2014 and really liked the dark, romantic vibe. I remember the food being good and their seasonal pumpkin pie cheesecake was sooo good. There was a cute little shrine of Gaga photos and such. When we asked about it the staff said Gaga gave them all tickets to her show. My friend and I got a photo with Joe lmaooo :laughga:  but I wouldn't go there now

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

I've only ever had extremely, extremely positive experiences there, and it makes me all the more sad that I'll never go back.

And not just for morals reasons, I'm also just banned.

It's not really an authentic Italian food, you feel more America than Italy when you bite it tbh

The service was ok-ish too.

It felt like a weird place that glamorize Gaga but for the wrong reasons, more like "look at me I'm her daddy, gimme money".

I still need to visit there though, but I think I'll skip, it as skip as The Queen in BTW tbh

Come on and wrap that blade of grass around my hairy ass

My friend celebrated his birthday there 11 years ago. It was when Gaga closed the Roseland Ballroom. I had meatballs to share and then the meat ragu pasta, both were great. The service was great and I like the homey feel of the place.

I went back in 2019 and had lemon chicken pasta at the bar by myself. It was fun because the woman next to me just moved to the neighborhood and she chatted with the bartender and other local about it and I joined in on the convo. It felt like a cosy bar, but with food. The food then wasn't really special, but nice.

2014 was a different time. Her family was there and after dinner I met her mom, sister and aunt. I didn't want to bother them, but it's a tiny place and when we passed them on the way put, I felt like apologizing to Cynthia cause I had stopped her on the street the day before to give her daughter a birthday gift (which she declined btw). She was so sweet and told me how much Gaga loved the gift afterall and she introduced me to her sister and daughter. It was really nice. Joe was behind the bar poking his head up trying to see what all the fuss was about.

I wouldn't go back, but I've had great times there. I like that it wasn't outwardly Gaga back then, just a few shirts in a corner and a Gaga wine on the menu. There's some cute family photos on the wall. These days they have theme nights and stuff, so it that's your thing, definitely go then.
