RichAssPiss 4,997
I revisited Happy Mistake today and it really feels like a thesis song for a lot of the themes on MAYHEM. Reconciling Gaga, the stage persona, with her personal life. "My head is filled with broken mirrors" literally fits the cover art theme. 3
PartySick 164,803
Had she not used it for Harlequin/the Lee character I could definitely see her working it into Mayhem somehow but I love the way the song is now so I'm content just adding it to my Mayhem playlist I dread to think of it being reworked for this album and changed from its current form 🥀
Zombiecat 17,329
i'm a flop fan that's legit listened to it like once or twice so yeah if it was on mayhem i would've iistened more 2
2School4Cool 6,457
No, it fits on Harlequin. It shows her connection to the character, if you listen to the lyrics it could absolutely be about Lee, but listening through Gaga’s perspective it’s about her career. Plus, the MAYHEM track listing is literally perfect, it guides you through genres seamlessly, and Happy Mistake would have interrupted that flow. Sonically it could fit between Blade of Grass and Die With a Smile, but squeezing it between the two love songs would feel unnatural and forced. TLDR, Happy Mistake fits perfectly where it is See The Best In Everyone

zevthepaparazzo 1,243
I feel like it would've worked really well for mayhem but it still works for harlequin. I hope its played at the mayhem ball 💜 @NUTELLA loves me
Anderson123 40,026
I see myself listening to Happy Mistake more than Blade of Grass but it fits so well on Harlequin and got it’s moment to shine over there. I hope she includes it as part of Mayhem Tour setlist because it’s one of her best ballads EVER.
NemoMyName 1,318
It 100% fits but considering how the album flow another ballad would be too much
Fatigay 21,099
No, but Love Me Right would have fit well next to HBDYWM 1
LG2008 5,977
No, but Harlequin should've been way bigger and deserved more love. I'm glad we got it anyways
