Smother Em Eh 7,125
We’ve gotten wonderful visuals, 3 songs, 1 AMAZING video and the tracklist with some really COOL song titles. Garden Of Eden? Fascinating Blade Of Grass? Intriguing! Perfect Celebrity? Interesting Zombie Boy? We already have Abracadabra These titles are INSANE and I LOVE IT! So… Are the expectations HIGH for this record? elegidadedios 1,926
Honestly, the last time I expected this high level of greatness was ARTPOP... And not even back then (even tho when it came out I instantly considered it a masterpiece and I still do to this day). I know she will surpass Born This Way with this one. I just know it 4
rocketn9 442
Of course ,I am not sure untill it officially comes out but I have a feeling it's going to be top 3 in her discography 3
weed 73,784
no pressure but I kind of feel like this has to be her magnum opus.. I feel like it's gonna be... while she is an icon already I feel like it will put her into Taylor/Bey stratosphere of permanent relevance, being applauded.
NUTELLA 9,113
It's going to be better than Joanne, so let's celebrate that
TheMontebello 447
The highest possible! I expect it to be at least as good as ARTPOP. You like the fat girl I got in me 🍕
Lucas 26,828
I mean just yesterday someone made a topic saying MAYHEM is already their favorite album from Gagz so... probably the most hyped since ARTPOP I guess
ryansamonster 1,707
I can’t wait. I hope what we’ve heard so far is only a tiny taste of what the album is sonically. Her singles are bops but it’s the deep cuts that always resonate the most with me
Nagini 2,247
Take her at her word. I'm expecting this to be her best album and I think she'll deliver on that.
AVeryGagaHolyDick 25,237
Honestly, yes. Not in a pressure kind of way, but the three songs we have are nearly perfect, and the snippets are promising too. I think it will be hard to top TFM and BTW, but MAYHEM seems to have real potential for top 3. She’s passionate about the music and it shows, I didn’t feel she was as obsessed with ARTPOP and Joanne, and certainly not Chromatica. With the latter, I feel that she loved the tour but she felt the music was lacking something and honestly, it really was.
A Fried Egg 8,834
I was listening to the Ray of Light album and I was like holy f@cking CRAP. The album is actually insane. It is so complex and masterfully crafted. 🤯 Of all the Madonna albums, it is a clear cut above the rest. Then it got me thinking about Disease and Abra and how much they stand out in the pop landscape, especially Disease. Ray of Light is the true gold standard for pop. A music album of that quality is something I wish so much for Lady Gaga (sorry BTW ily but you’re not quite there yet). The Disease vs Abra thread confirmed something for me: Disease is objectively the better track and on its own level. Little Monsters and even Azealia Banks know it. Gaga said she “put everything into this album”. I really believe that if she did put her mind to it, Mayhem could be the one. I know she can do it. I do not care if it won’t have the cultural impact ROL had. Good art is good art and it matters now more than ever. LG is mega rich and she can afford to go all out for the sake of her art. I’m so excited to see if she could really do it- surpass BTW and reach that level of Van Gogh/ Picasso greatness that is Ray of Light and Thriller. And don’t get me wrong, LG will always be my GOAT. She will always be my favorite. The next step is proving she can surpass herself. Edited February 28 by LeafBug 1
Luna Lovegood 24,372
very high, I’m expecting bad romance, poker face, just dance, applause, bloody mary, thriller, paparazzi, LoveGame all in one album, mayhem. luna’s advocate
Zombiecat 16,607
absolutely honestly, just from DWAS, Disease, Abra, the snippet in the disease video, and the snippet in her instagram this is already top tier for me https://linktr.ee/jamalholt
TheARTPOPball 477
Ive learned over the years that a lot of gaga’s songs are growers- not showers, i typically like about half the album on first listen and grow to enjoy the others later on i think after my first listen, i will be in shock for a little bit, and slowly be consumed by the MAYHEM
