What happened in Sudan? I haven't seen this in the news.

This is also one of the reasons for Gaga's silence. Terrible things are happening around the globe and people are only aware of selective issues. She wants to encourage kindness and equality in general.

I personally would love Gaga to speak on Palestine, but demanding it with the accusation that she might be a Zionist is insane.

She hasn’t and doesn’t have to. And her political views have not or won’t change based on whether or not she’s outspoken about it

agreed. good or bad, we need to stop looking to our pop stars & celebrities for political information

I hear you. No she hasn't commented on the genocide or quietly wore a pin like Billie & Phoebe etc or being very vocal like Bella Hadid (I will live in hope one day she will even wear the pin, I think I know why she hasn't and don't wish to say why on here lol)

I would really love it, but I dont really care that much, as Gaga speaking on it wont really change much, its just me being selfish because I want my favorite artist to speak about my cause.

Gaga IS an activist from the start. What are you talking about?

Gaga's activism mainly revolves around gay rights. Most recently was during the Grammys, we should talk about that more?

She's more of philanthropist lately rather than activist. FireAid, tributes, her biggest is Together at Home COVID benefit concert..

keep on looking for Psyduck

I can throw the same thing back at you and ask why didnt you ask about the Sudan genocide?

Thanks! I always say you can't possibly be an activist for every cause. The truth is, people only care when a cause is mainstream, like Ukraine or Palestine. Pressuring a celebrity into talking about these things is just performative.

I really love Lady Gaga because of her music and artistry but what got me coming back were her heart and activism.

That being said, has she ever spoken up about the wars in Ukraine and Palestine? I remember Billie Eilish wearing a pin asking for a ceasefire in Palestine and I was wondering if Gaga at least did something similar.

I also don't want to believe she's a Zionist like how some people are claiming.

Has she any history of speaking out on US foreign policy ?

I’m a firm believer that celebrities should not be expected to be activists. They are human beings like all of us with nuanced opinions and various degrees of knowledge about a topic. She’s always been outspoken about LGBTQ+ rights and she always will be, but this doesn’t mean she’s expected to speak out about everything.

Would you say the same thing about celebrities endorsing a politician?

We don’t need pop stars to weigh in publicly about EVERYTHING

also the gp seem to find it performative and patronising anyway, look at what happened with Kamala losing hard even with all those celebrity endorsements

i try to live in black & white but i'm so blue
