I never knew about this! Although she doesn't say the name, we know it's Telephone because she mentioned Rodney Jerkins, and that's the only other producer (besides Fernando Garibay) that did stuff with her for Circus.

Some things that stood out to me:

-Although she said it wouldn't be on The Fame, songs like Dirty Ice Cream were on her mind meaning that they weren't just one offs to have more original material to perform

-Telephone was done earlier than I thought (I thought it was late summer 2008)

-Lady Gaga first wanted Telephone on The Fame, and it was not originally written for another artist

-Britney recorded the song after leaving court in June 2008 after Kvntvin got full custody of her kids (it wasn't January 2008 because she didn't go to court for that one)

-This means that this is one of the situations Lady Gaga was talking about in A Star Is Born era interviews where she said that executives kept wanting to take her music from her and give it to other people
