I mean... why are they doing this

They wanna keep their audience and they think the audience will change the channel if the song is longer than around 2 minutes. Tiktok attention span has spread.

This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.

This is what artists like Lady Gaga are up against.  Corporations always seem to want everything in a short, washed out format or formula...

It favors shorter, simpler songs.

Has anyone heard dwas or disease on the radio? Are those different as well? :(

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.

I find this so disrespectful to artists. They make a song for a reason, not for it to be butchered by people that have the attention span of a potato

It’s the labels who send the radio edits to the radio stations

I love it! I think it’s an exciting part of the single treatment. My favorite radio edit will always be Marry The Night

I wish they'd just play the track that was released by the artist. This track is not a Broadway musical, it's 4.5 minutes.

Having said that, there are bits at the beginning and the end which MAYBE you could argue need the visuals.

Doesn't make any sense as DWAS smile is played in its entirety and they play it at least 3 times an hour.
