DanceInTheFlames 154 Posted February 17, 2013 Share Posted February 17, 2013 To me what's so upsetting about all of this is how abruptly Born This Way has come to an end. It was such an important time in her career, and it just sort of flatlined out of random. In a way, though, I think this will end up being a good thing. I think her time out of the limelight she'll use to get better physically will help her regroup mentally. I think the next era is going to be even more intense than this one and take the world by storm. Her comeback will probably be a huge deal now that she has to work so hard to get back to where she was. DanceInTheFlames 154 Posted February 18, 2013 Share Posted February 18, 2013 Personally, I don't think Gaga should be focusing on any work, ARTPOP included, while she is at least in the early stages of recovery. I really think she should take this time to focus on herself and not her work. Gaga needs to just do her for a while. She's been touring, performing, recording, etc nonstop since The Fame came out in 2008. She NEEDS this break, even if it is a painful time for her. That being said, I can't imagine Gaga taking too much time off from her art. But I don't care if we don't get anything new from her for a while, because she deserves to take this time and heal and just be with herself. Her perfectionism and work ethic is admirable but also self destructive. It just saddens me knowing how difficult touring is for her, from nearly passing out on stage in 2010, to throwing up numerous times onstage and backstage, and now performing with debilitating hip pain. I remember at Thanksgiving this year my family was having a discussion about how celebrities don't work hard enough to deserve all the money they have. People think pop stars have such glamorous and easy lives. Nobody sees all the effort that is put in behind the scenes, the sleepless nights, the endless traveling, the stress, the pressure. Its really sad how people like Gaga don't get the respect that they deserve. OMG this so much, really hope she sits back and reflects on all she's done and realizes how fuqing awesome she is...
