God I'm so excited for this, knowing she said no for the longest time and after reading this, I'm excited to know what's the take they're going to use for the revival, especially with Chloé Zhao involved. While I do love the ending, it also could work as a set up for the story to go anywhere. 

I'm currently on season 5 on my rewatch and it feels so much mature now than I remembered. I hope it has the same spirit of the later seasons, while it tackles serious and heavy themes it also has a lot of light hearted and hopeful moments. 

Now also bring the Scoobies back! Wish there could be a way to bring Tara and Anya back too tho

Okay now THIS holds some promise. A group of people who are super passionate about making something special. And the fact Sarah Michelle Gellar said she had shut down the idea of a reboot for years unless they could do something special and do justice to the original. I only caught the show every now and again on my fuzzy bedroom TV with wonky bunny ears back in the day   so I can't say I'm a fan, but I have always wanted to watch it

I've been put off watching it though because I saw a whole video on why the 'remaster' is terrible (things expanding the original footage and seeing things that were once off camera that shouldn't be seen, or completely removing the colour grading which ruins the effectiveness and emotion of every scene) and it put me off completely, knowing that's probably the version on streaming. Maybe I'll find a way to view the original TV cut of the show

Someone posted what they apparently heard was going to be the direction for her character which doesn't sound great in my opinion so I hope it's not legit information. I've never read the comics of season 8 plus though and don't know if they will factor those in since they are officially canon.
