So i don't understand why he teased with that pic of him n gaga some days back. Shes not on his album he's not on hers. It was weird choice to be just for fun. No?

And also, i don't understand that some said with the hidden song of Mayhem. (That maybe its their duet) Why to hide a song? I d say they would have built more anticipation with a collab announcement . No?

not everything is teasing, he loves pop girls and is always very supportive.

Until I actually hear the song on Sunday and am proven wrong, I’ll be convinced that The Weeknd is part of Abracadabra.

I swear I hear his voice at the end of the (unedited) snippet lol

This is how you make a mother f*cking ALBUM :applause:

EVERY other mainstream artist needs to take extensive notes tbh.

Every song is given the space it needs to breathe and transform, sometimes even into an entirely new song. Crazy Janet Jackson vibes with the way the album is structured, the story elements, and the foley work. This sounds more like Abel telling you a story rather than you listening to a compilation of songs.

Reflections Laughing and Enjoy the Show literally made me stop what I was doing just to listen :nooo:

And the sounds he's playing with? Even a standard hip-hop/rap song like Timeless sounds amazing 'cause he's using such unique sound structures without just pulling random sounds or samples out of his butt.

I saw Take Me Back to LA on the tracklist and wanted to skip to it 'cause I love, love, loooove Los Angeles. But I decided to experience the song in the way he intended instead. The flow from Niagara Falls to this song made me misty eyed and the song itself :nooo:

These lyrics :nooo:

Spoiler

Take me back to LA
Where the sun would kiss on my face
Now the sunshine tracks my skin
I stayed too long
Take me back to a time
When my blood never tasted like wine
My love could fill a sea
But now I can't even feel the breeze

And it hurts when I think about (think about)
The nights we would always shout
My voice cracking when we scream
You scream, we scream
And I watched while you wiped your eyes
Then I learned to cover mine
And that's when I realized that

It's better when I'm by myself, yeah
By myself
Uh, by myself, yeah
Oh, it's better when I'm by myself

Take me back to a place
Where the snow would fall on my face
And I miss my city lights
I left too young
Take me back to a time
The trophies that I had would still shine
Now I have nothing real left
I want my soul

And it hurts when I think about (think about)
The days I would tell myself
It's okay for me to scream
To scream, to scream
I put my hand over the fire ('ver the fire)
And see if I can still cry (can still cry)
And that's when I realize that

I hate it when I'm by myself
By myself (oh)
By myself
Oh, I hate it when I'm by myself (oh)
Oh, myself
Oh, by myself
(I don't wanna be, I don't wanna be)
I hate it when I'm by myself

By myself
Cold, by myself
By my–, oh
By myself
By myself
By myself
By myself

Even the Kanye reference and biblical allusion can't ruin this song for me

This is the kind of track that's gonna change who I am as a person for at least a month

Abel, consider me a stan, you beautiful man, you

Would be fitting if when Gaga finally collabs with the Weeknd, its when he is in his flop era 😂

stream it more - proceeds from “Take Me Back To LA” will be donated to LA Regional Food Bank, who are providing emergency food assistance to those directly impacted by the LA wildfires.

I like him, he has a lot of good songs but his albums as full bodies of work are very hit and miss, his only album that was above average was Beauty Behind The Madness and every other album hasn't done it for me since. Dawn FM in particular was a huge disappointment for me. Knowing this was his last album as the Weeknd persona, it had to be at least passable. Based on the quality of the singles, I really was dreading how the album was going to be as a whole and rumours of it being just 11 tracks didn't quell that feeling. So, to see that Dancing In The Flames was removed and that we're getting 22 tracks was a relief and a half. While not his best, it was definitely his best album in years. Took me a while to get into some tracks, but after a bit of replaying, they grew on me. The ultimate best were definitely Reflections Laughing, Given Up On Me, The Abyss (slay with those vocals, Lana, and loving the Azealia Banks reference - if you know, you know!) and Hurry Up Tomorrow. That last one drew a bit of a tear to my eye knowing this was the end of what we know as The Weeknd. It was a rather depressing listen, to be honest, but in a beautiful way. It truly is a journey of an album and a goodbye.

It’s definitely a slower album but it’s good. The transitions are everything and the last song going into his first ever song (High For This) is a full circle moment.

So happy I got to experience the totality of “The Weeknd”

Just finished the album, and while it didn't top Dawn FM for me, the title track may just be one of the greatest closing tracks ever:bradley:
