Previously she posted a 24 seconds video on Insta, crying and sharing her feelings and sympathy.

Parts of excerpts saying;

"All my people are getting attacked, the children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry, I wish I could do something but I can’t. I don’t know what to do. I’ll try everything, I promise.”

But she quickly got a lot of negative comments from regular people and fans alike who are magats loonies on that very post and other social media sites. Some criticized her for appearing performative or disingenuous. Most other are just bashing her with all kinds of slurs. So she deleted it shortly after and posted a new IG story (which has since been deleted as well)

people are inordinately hard on her, but also a celebrity posting a video of themselves crying to social media rarely goes over well :/

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

I think it’s great to speak up about this but maybe it would have been better to share resources from different organizations. Maybe even post what to say if you are come across an agent.

Videos like hers remind me of these:

Bless her, god forbid someone show real emotion regarding people of her own community being attacked/targeted.

Well I can see both sides of this. As a Latino myself, we certainly don’t consider her as part “of our own”, especially after she actively participated and defended Emila Perez. It makes it seem performative. On the other hand, people do seem to treat her very harshly compared to other celebrities
