Germany will have elections soon and far right is in the lead, same for France (next elections are in 2027 but there is big pressure on the president to leave or to impeach him). Germany's AFD clearly has the support of nazi Elon Musk, France's RN is a party created by a SS Nazi, they idolise Trump.

 

Far right won’t get into power in Germany tho, because government needs to build a coalition with around 47% of the seats (depending on how many parties actually get into the Reichstag you don’t need to win 51% of the votes..) Right now CxU is leading with 30% and AfD is around 20%, so theoretically this coalition would work if the CxU hadn’t signed into their constitution that they’ll never go into a coalition with AfD (and Die Linke, but they barely will find their way back into Reichstag anyway)

Welp, will never understand how people vote for this populist **** show that is the AFD. Lying hypocrites backed up by a crazy, drugged up US billionaire - yeah these people will definitely care for you little income to raise. 

I fear there is a huge education problem in many parts of the German society. My brother and husband are teaching and even kids are already indoctrinated by their low education parents and surprised when presented with facts about the AFD.

I dont agree with Musk, but white people do act weird about their past. They either go the racist way to deny the past, or they overcompensate and act weird and cringe.

Ironically the "multiculturalism" is the American culture that has been birthed over the past 4-5 decades. It's the unhealthy type of capitalism and overconsumption that's been spreading. And more ironically it's Musk's Twitter that rapidly spreads it. The issue isn't multiculturalism. It's the isolationism disguised as individualism and the promise of individual rights and dreams. 

 

I feel like this has been a concerted effort by billionaires over the past 30 years. Create terror in the middle east and eastern Europe. Which not only gives billionaires access to more oil, but also as a catalyst of a breakdown of solidarity as societies. Millions of refugees flooded these countries and all of the sudden you've got two opposing groups to sick at each other. They're turning Middle Easterners, Russians, Ukrainians, etc against each other just like the US turned whites vs gays vs Hispanics vs black people etc. And we're so busy getting through a situation they all put us in for us to realize or care enough to show solitude against them Killing us.

But I mean its working and they are getting through to us and we adapt their narratives without even noticing. For me the most important way to face these garbage people is being more aware of the language I use and reproduce, and I'm not „coming for you“, just want to point two things out that I feel are problématique here. 

A common narrative is migrants „flooding“ the arrival lands. They are not. Flooding is a term coming from a natural disaster, it's something that evokes chaos, destruction and insinuates a helplessness, which then justifies a „well, it is what it is. cant do anything about it happening“ kinda mindset. It also wildly dehumanizes people who are fleeing from war zones or leave because of other life threatening reasons. This is something I recently learned myself and never really thought about at large, because you see this everywhere - left, right, center media. (If anybody is interested in a book tip, hit me up, its German tho.) This also plays into a larger point in my opinion, which is the escalating language and lack of nuance, which then furthermore strengthens the political edges. Billionaires (at large) didn't „create“ terror in the middle east and eastern Europe. Their actions might destabilized communities, encouraged local political decisions or directly or indirectly held progress that could have been achieved faster with foreign aid - but they did not create anything. 

That being said, being more deliberate with the words we use can, ideally, change we as communities and societies few these challenges. <3
