I was expecting more views on Youtube... I think it did 11M in its first 24 hours and it actually feels like it underperformed on Youtube. Also, normally videos from k-pop artists get a lot of views the first couple of days and then start dropping fast, just like Lisa's previous releases. New Woman, for example, was getting more views than DWAS and then the number decreased suddenly. I wonder how it did on Spotify but if it follows the performance of her previous releases, even if it gets a lot of streams the first day, they will slow quickly

I’m expecting the song to be the biggest debut song for this year since the cut off is 5.9M, but with Abra rising I think we’re gonna sit fine at 7M this coming update with Born Again debuting 6M+ and fall after

Doja is not as huge as she used to be and Lisa despite being known and Niche isnt all that mainstream in the West for the most part

 

It will get its front loaded youtube views tgat are typical of Kpop but theres a good chance its not gonna take off explosively and remain a moderate hit at best

 

I could be wrong tho, these things are hard to predict but as ive now im not super worried about it

 

If anything im paying more attention to Kendric getting the mainstream attention for the next week or two (tho im sure we'll be fine)

yep I’m setting my expectations for Kendrick’s mania post halftime, but with gaga and him being from the same label I think they have strategic plans for both of them to ensure they don’t cannibalise each other’s catalogue and potential peaks, but then again these things can be unpredictable, we’ll see how this week goes

It debuted veryy strong, I think it was 11M on Spotify Global iirc, but then it decreases and loses stream every single day. It got #1 on Hot 100 because of the initial strong streams, radio deal and decent sales despite losing quite alot of streams throughout the first week

To compare, Abracadabra gained 500k in 3 hours of day 6 today. I predicted 3m but it did 3.3m yesterday. So expect a double views for today, probably doing 5∼6million

I just saw on kworb Venus update and it received 190k streams yesterday. Is it just an Abracadabra effect or some new tik tok trend? It wasn’t doing these kind of numbers (40k daily streams was max). For comparison Government Hooker was doing around 120k streams daily and now is at 200k. How could you explain Venus?
