It's slightly bothering me that I've seen several youtube reactors say Garden of Eden was inspired by Charli XCX. No ma'am that is pure 2006/2007 Gaga!

Head Empty

I liked the album on launch day but didn't love it. I now realize that was mostly because I was not only overwhelmed by life as I was listening to it, but also overwhelmed by the amount of detail of the album has.

Now the album has a pretty solid #2 spot in my album ranking. After Born This Way, which still wins because of the outrageous ambition it exudes.

The 8-song run from Disease to Zombieboy (including Can't Stop The High) is INSANELY good. A career highlight. I'll probably never get tired of it.

The album has a confidence that I haven't heard of Gaga since ARTPOP, while also having the refinement of a seasoned artist. She really flexed her songwriting chops. And the production is probably the best of any of her albums.

I still have two personal critiques, both related to tracklisting:

- The album is pretty front-loaded for me. The flow of energy kinda wavers and then stops suddenly after Shadow Of A Man. One moment you're having the time of your life in the club and the next the house lights are turned on and they're sweeping the floor. The jump is so stark that it reduces the replayability for me.

- It's criminal that the two bonus tracks aren't on streaming, as they're two of my favourites. They elevated the album so much for me. Kill For Love brings so much life to the second half of the tracklist.

It's only been half a week but the album has already grown so much for me. It's bound to evolve even more but I really adore it now.

Happiness will never last, darkness comes to kick your ass... ‎ ᵃˢˢ 🕺

Off topic: gaga is on stern now

Mayhem should have at least two more singles.

Is that your personal opinion or did she actually say that on Stern?

Did she perform both songs on piano?

Came back to say this album is firmly in my top two. No skips. While this album may not be for everyone, there’s certainly something for everyone.

the vibe is 80s horror imo

Does anyone have any idea when exactly Howard Stern interviews get posted? I saw that she performed already
