Closer to her pre-The Fame work than it is to any of her records so far, but make it 80s music. Don’t expect the album to sound ANYTHING like Disease / Abracadabra.

Vanish Into You… placement feels odd on the album after four bangers. Would’ve appreciated it more towards the end before Blade Of Grass. Might be the safest, most classic pop song on the album.

I honestly tried to download the tracks under the NZ VPN but all the converting sites were getting an error. I found the videos but couldn't convert them.

okay so on my first listen I was really thrown and the songs in the later half of the album (minus Shadow of a Man) really threw me off, and I was feeling not great about the album…

HOWEVER I quickly ate my words as I went back and listened a second time. this album is actually incredible. I’m digesting each song for what they are instead of as a full body of work and somehow that’s making each song stand out more. def got the TSwift comparisons from HBDUWM, but I listened to it a couple more times and it instantly grew on me more each time.

I don’t wanna say I’m impressed because she always impresses me, but I really was not expecting this at all. my standouts are:
