I was listening to fartpoop yesterday and I just fully started tearing up lol

I started reminiscing about where I was in my life during each album era, and how Gaga's music and celebrity has gone from a way to escape my reality to an embrace of myself and a celebration of all I've achieved  And then I realised that that's probably exactly how she feels too rn so I just started weeping lmao 

The older I get the more parasocial I feel towards her tbh, as she used to feel like this mythical figure who could do anything, but now I'm like... she was just an Italian girl from New York with a hot glue gun and a dream  She might have become more grounded with age but she's still just a self critical lil freaky weirdo like me

I’d actually much prefer it if she doesn’t release any new songs (or snippets) now until the album is released. We have Disease, Abracadabra and DWAS, I’d like the rest to be a surprise on release day.

But what I would like her to do is post some HQ images of the album artwork and photoshoot. I want to be able to stare at them all whilst I’m listening to the album on the 7th.

you can push multiple songs at the same time in the streaming era and it's actually the right thing to do to ensure longevity... Billie did it, Sabrina as well!

Promo single will happen. Not necessarily released a proper single for radio, but it might have an MV, or at very least a visualizer. Just a song that released to give the album more attention, just like how The Fame with Beautiful Dirty Rich, BTW with TEOG & Hair (although TEOG becomes so well liked, it's turned into actual single after that), Venus for ARTPOP, and Sour Candy for CHROMATICA.

And Vanished Into You might be that for MAYHEM, probably cos it is the most GP friendly pop song for the GP that isn't a ballad? We shall wait and see

The contest ended 2/16 and I believe they're being flown out in March for the Club Mayhem party when it's being shot, so I don't think we're getting that video for a few more weeks.

So I quite like the Mayhem album cover. I don't love it like I do The Fame Monster, Born This Way (Deluxe) or Chromatica, but I still like it.

I love the concept of the broken mirror and shattered reflection of Gaga, but I wish it was taken even further. I've been thinking of this poster for Perfect Blue and I would LOVE to have seen the Mayhem cover push itself this excessively far. Multiple broken fragments unnaturaly elongating Gaga's face, pieces of herself breaking through, truly representing Mayhem.
