PartySick 172,545
WASHINGTON, Jan 20 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday rescinded sanctions imposed by the former Biden administration on far-right Israeli settler groups and individuals accused of being involved in violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, the new White House website said. The website said Trump rescinded Executive Order 14115 issued on Feb. 1, 2024, which authorized the imposition of certain sanctions "on Persons Undermining Peace, Security, and Stability in the West Bank." Trump's decision is a reversal of a major policy action by former President Joe Biden's administration which had slapped sanctions on numerous Israeli settler individuals and entities, freezing their U.S. assets and generally barring Americans from dealing with them. Reuters CNN — The Israeli military killed at least nine Palestinians in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday as its prime minister announced the start of a “large-scale military operation” in the restive city of Jenin – just two days after the Gaza ceasefire came into effect. Israel’s security cabinet launched the military offensive – which involved the Israeli military, police and Shin Bet security agency – to “eradicate terrorism in Jenin,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement. The operation is called “Iron Wall,” he said. In response, Hamas issued a statement calling for “people in the West Bank and its revolutionary youth to mobilize and escalate the clash with the occupation army at all points of contact with it.” CNN Whimsical bitch
PartySick 172,545
So. Day two. Wonder if all those leftists that didn't support Kamala feel vindicated yet or does that come later? It's not like everyone from us nobodies online to Bernie Sanders and AOC weren't screaming how Trump would be a thousand times worse than anything Joe did or Kamala could have done. Israel basically has free reign over Palestine now. There is no empathetic US president to stand in their way. Whimsical bitch

This doesn't take away the fact the US under Biden perpetuated Israel's position by directly funding its army and refused to do a ceasefire agreement until the very last day of Biden's presidency. It also doesn't take away the fact that the Democratic Party actively moved to neutralize pro-Palestine protests in the US, by force if necessary, and carried out a virtual inner party purge to get rid of pro-Palestine democrats. And no, I don't feel vindicated nor will I ever feel that way, because this isn't a matter of being right or wrong on the internet, or telling other people "I tould you so" with a smirk on your face. People are dying in Palestine and Israel's aggression didn't start in the last few years. That is a very real thing, and their suffering persists despite the US government changing parties. So what gives? I think the problem is not the Party, it's that the US as a national project is rotten to the core. Former First Lady of the United States. If sympathy is what you're looking for, you'll not find it in this context for a very simple reason: the US position in the Middle East would be heavily undermided if Israel lost the war. They have more incentives to prevent that than to "help" Palestine. Former First Lady of the United States. Now card-carrying member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). I absolutely agree that Biden deserved criticism for how exactly he handled the situation but to say he wasn't empathetic after huge swaths of his pre-Oct 7th policies were building Palestine and gearing it up for a two state solution where Palestinians have a right to sovereignty, dedicating US resources to getting two terrorist groups (Israel's government and Hamas) to stop fighting, and trying to flood Gaza with humanitarian aid, even having a port constructed to get around Israel's bullsh*t... I mean, you can criticize that he was 70/30 in Israel's favor 'cause Israel's practically a US satellite state but Trump is 100/0. Biden had Israel on semi-uneasy ground and a slack leash. Trump's just opened the gate and let the dog run free. Whimsical bitch

Biden actually succeed, he managed to keep the status quo in the region by doing absolutely nothing, Israel got what they wanted, Hamas got what they wanted, nobody gives a f-ck about the Palestinians in the middle, the war ends and everything comes back to what it was pre-10 October. All Hamas managed to get in this deal is their fighters back, that's it, nothing else to their people, so we can blame Biden, Israel whatever, but if after all this destruction, death and international support for a Palestinian country that they got, Palestine is in the same situation as it always was, then maybe it's time to wake up and realize that there's a 3rd player in this whole conflict who does absolutely the best to keep the suffering of their own people and it's not only Netanyahu. so all the people who scream free Palestine, then didn't vote for Kamala, the suffering of the Palestinian people is on them from today until the end of Trump's term. on them. "Before Hamas attacked"? Oh no is it the Palestinians' fault they keep murdering their children? For decades Israel kept on attacking and the one time the Palestinians defended themselves, they apparently ruined everything and every chance for peace evaporated. And the fact Biden "had things on the right track" whilst giving billions upon billions to Israel but nothing to the Palestinians...my God. I don't want to know what would've happened if he didn't have things on the right track. 6 minutes ago, River said: Kamala is not Biden and Biden is not Kamala. I already answered a similar argument. If you want to keep lying to yourselves about this, that's fine, but don't keep blaming people while your only solution is to "vote for the lesser evel" for the 50th time in a row. It was Kamala who said "I'm speaking" while Palestinian protesters went to her speech. She was one of the main faces of the Democratic Party while all this was happening. They don't give a fvck. And I already said, they are literally unable to, because the US cannot assert itself in the Middle East without Israel, and for that they need a powerful and allied Israeli government.
