Do you lack the critical thinking to see the overall picture here. It’s not the content of the app it’s the fact that if we can ban an app so easily we can ban anything. How is that American. If they decided to ban Gaga because they say she is spreading propaganda and a national security threat for her lyrics and people went “I nEvR lIstEn tO hEr sO I dOnT cArE”. Can you see the point now? There was no real evidence that china is using the data. It’s all done on speculation and even more so that trump is going to delay the ban after meeting with the CEO. It’s so obviously about control and politics because he was the one that started this mess and even did an executive order to ban it originally. Just remember that the major ideaologues being installed into the WH admin by Team Trump were linked to Project 2025. And they've just been told by SCOTUS that the court will not require them to prove a national security threat exists before using it as a legal defense to justify the erasure of constitutional rights. This bill essentially forces ByteDance to sell US TikTok to a Trump ally. Which means not only does he get the anti-China result, he also gets the added benefit of another social media algorithim dedicated to what his circle want. Reminds me of that whole thing where even in that documentary made by people who hate him, everyone said he’s never done drugs/drank alcohol in professional settings or parties with important people. Very much implied that it was intentional so he could take in all the stuff people would say while f*cked up and use it to his own advantage.
