As per Talk of the charts, it is likely to spend 3rd consecutive week at #1, but we don't have a confirmation from Billboards yet.

We all want Gaga to succeed but this is the least satisfying "victory" for a lot of us 'cause it comes at the cost of things we value (or used to value) in her as an artist.

Y'all can't expect those of us who never cared about charts in the first place to suddenly celebrate a #1 when it was paid for by having one of her best songs in years see its lead single status revoked and promo chances dashed due to the chart performance of a standalone collab single and when the album itself is changed just so it can drop with 1.5 billion streams (or however many it has now) and a #1 song already in its pocket  

If you (not you, Mr. River, the gay reading my comment while fuming) can't understand why that's all disappointing to some of us with different priorities Idk how to help you understand.

Won't say anything further 'cause it's finally sunk into my thick skull that the girlies on this site cannot handle dissenting opinions in any way, shape, or form without losing their minds but I stand by my criticisms and I feel it's healthy to be able to say "I like Gaga but I hate some of the choices she's made"  

Im not sure Disease would of gotten that much more promo without DWAS smash anyway

 

Like it got promoted on TTH, she did tik toks and stripped down performances

 

Best case scenario maybe wed get a 1 televised performance we didnt now. Traditional promotion we all valued is all done to very limited degrees now and I dont think it would have changed the overall vibe of Disease anyway

 

And since the song failed to take off... i doubt theyd keep focusing on it. Theyd just move on from it without much focus on it
