Tbh, we Canadians love making fun of the usa too much to join them - especially for their self centeredness. We are similar but Canadians pride themselves on the qualities that distinguish them from Americans.

Lol i dunno. The King has virtually no power anyway. Our Governor General represents the Queen or King but its a formality and tradition really. The UK has no say whats so ever in anything in practical terms

 

When it comes to war declaration or transfer of land I think technically our connection to Common Wealth requires approval signature from King but again, its a technicality. If the UK truly tried to block something Canada really wanted to do we could just formally leave the Commonwealth first

 

I do know in past wars Canada automatically joined war by default because Britain did. But this was also a long time ago. I dont think todays politics would make it that simple anymore
