To me it feels unprofessional and pretentious. We should be celebrating film as a concept, and throwing shots at bad movies during an event like this is something that’s always bothered me lol. These people are comedians and part of their job is to make fun of stuff in the entertainment business for these types of hosting gigs. But also, if the tweet in the OP is all she said about Joker 2, that's probably the most inoffensive thing you can say about the film lol. You could make a ton of jokes about the movie, but if all she said was "they're not here...", consider that a blessing.
