Angel of my dreams is 2020s Bad Romance

Let me explain myself ...

Ofc "Angel of my Dreams" wasn't a smash global hit as "Bad Romance" but their thematics and the way they were built is somehow similar. 

BR is about the fear of love, of a toxic passionate romance. When Gaga wrote BR she was thinking about her best friend she fell in love with (probably Lüc Carl) when they were sitting right across her in a tour bus. 

But it's also about the love-hate relationship that Gaga has with the music industry. I like how some twisted analysis theories about BR MV make it even more unhinged and iconic  :

That second interpretation of BR is valid considering the fact that the album is titled "The Fame Monster".

"Angel of my dream" is also about a toxic romance but more openly about Jade's love-hate relationship with the music industry. The MV make it clear with the allegory of the industry in the guise of "Mike". There's a lot going on in this music video but Jade seek music industry's attention with her different characters. And we see these very meaningful red, white and black colors a lot like in Bad Romance.

Well musically there's also some ressemblances : 

Both are theatrical, they tell a story.

They have many layers.

Both vary their rhythms.

Both have very dark lyrics. (Both mention "Psycho" lol)

Their influences are multiples, and they share similar 80s techno/synth-pop music influences.

In conclusion  :

Bestie, I prefer "Bad Romance" a way more, more, it's easily my fav Gaga song. But there's defo some similarities between these songs.

Ironically part of Angel of My Dreams choreography reminded me of Bad Romance’s choreography. Minor parts, but if you could definitely tell that she's a Little Monster. I wouldn't be surprised if she had Text U Pictures and Hallelujah saved in her phone.

it's easy to get more skeptic as we get older and wiser but i feel like topics like these create discussion in a positive way. They show passion about the subject at the very least and in the age of AI and modern social media interaction this is a breath of fresh air, especially when it comes from newer fans full of passion for gaga's body of work, we should nurture it imo.  

ofc nobody is shielded from criticism, but I don't think that's the way to go
