The Liberals had SO MANY dumb little controversies and screwups over the years, like so many mistakes that were easily avoidable and every one just gave the Cons something to poke at. It was so annoying, like why are you giving them these easy dunks?! And now Poilievre in gonna steamroll in so easily UGH I hate it I hate that Poilievre is the alternative but hes so lucky. Hes risen at a time when PM and Liberals have all time low approval ratings and the 3rd alternative NDP and Leader Jagmeet arent doing particularly well either (NDP Coalition with Liberals and Jagmeets lack of communication skills and base energizing arent helping the NDP either) Poilievre is condescending as hell and really distorts facts but he will have an easy win because Trudeau and Jagmeet are so unpopular That said I can totally see him winning 1 majority Government, be in power for 5 years, piss everyone off (besides hardcore base) because hes gonna over promise, under deliver and to top it off his condescending nature wont do well for him once hes PM instead of opposition he can deflect anger from... He will be toast in next election and ppl will probably swing back to the Liberals Thats my official prediction rn

I dunno why that makes me laugh. The Canadian guy u know is from Orilia of all places God id never live there. For starters its too in the middle of nowhere even for me (i dont like big cities like where I live but Orilia i think is too isolated).... Secondly the winters there would be awful. Id be willing to bet they already getting snow that never melts

It's the ARTPOP era all over again Yeah, here in Toronto snow comes and goes, falls then some melts. We had a white Christmas this year which thanks to our beloved Global Warming almost never happens anymore but most of it is already melted and gone But once u get close to Barrie (im guessing if you know Orilia you know Barrie cuz its the closest bigger city and its directly below Orilia to the south), anything further north than that, any snow that falls from December onwards aint going anywhere. It will keep accomolating for the next few months non stop I once went to the Barrie area in February and OMG. I had no idea just 1 hour north made such a big difference. Those ppl were BURRIED! Like the snow went to the bottom of their roofs. Those poor souls I dont know ur BF yet already respect him if he can endure that and hasnt left Edit: tho I think Barrie despite being south of Orilia might actually get even more snow overall than cuz its in a super Lake Effect Snow Belt prone region

I was jealous but he was pissed Of course as a Floridian I want the snow and as a Canadian he was so freaked out the last time a hurricane came through here we stayed on the phone all night 'cause he was scared I'd die 35 minutes ago, Economy said: I dont know ur BF yet already respect him if he can endure that and hasnt left He's not my boyfriend, we're in the harmless flirting stage, but I'd totally snatch him up if we lived closer together I dream about a winter wonderland in a couple weeks it'll be back to swampass season here until November of 2025. Honestly let me freeze I was excited about snow when I first mobed to Canada but it quickly wore off especially as I got older and realized how much of a neusance it is to drive in, shovel and also in the city after about 1.5 days it turns dirty, black and ugly on the roads. I know gloabal warming is bad but lowkey i love its impact on winter. Cuz in Toronto area just below freezing point was our norm and warming up a couple degrees for us makes a MASSIVE difference cuz it means we go above freezing way more often now Winter now have a lot more rain days or snow melt days in winter than when I moved here 22 years ago. Its also really only a couple months long now cuz consistent snow days most years start in almost January and by late February/early March they start to end. When I moved here snow used to start earlier in December and only end late March so it was nearly twice as long that we had snow on ground or snow days of accomulation . In a climate like mine where winter temps are right borderline at the freezing point the warming is super visible. Probably why theres very few climate change deniers here if theyve lived here a long time Where your friend is in Orilia he probably doesnt notice as big of a difference cuz a couple degrees difference up there wont make any difference on the winter

All the cars covered in that nasty junk, mud and ice everywhere, but idk I kinda liked it People don't notice global warming here 'cause it's always hot as f*ck Whimsical bitch

More old cars here in Canada have rust than in Portugal where I used to live especially at the bottom 6 minutes ago, PartySick said: People don't notice global warming here 'cause it's always hot as f*ck And based on what I know of Florida i feel half the ppl still wouldnt see it if it stared them right in the face Here what we have is a lot of among more right leaning people is people who think the bad effects and dangers of climate change are an exageration. Like they dont think its a calamity or worth the cost to try to fight it Outright climate change deniers are rare tho. Ive maybe met only a handful in my entire life that vocalized it
