Red tape, inefficiency, and malicious NIMBYism in west coast cities is a huge problem. Just last year California called out San Francisco for tacking on millions of dollars and years of ridiculous bureaucracy to construction projects. Seattle just released their plan to discuss minimal upzoning changes in 2025 and 2026, showing a complete lack of urgency. Los Angeles just straight up didn’t use a third of the money that was earmarked for homeless programs this year. 
 

It seems that homelessness is a problem here until you get voted into office.

The biggest single area affected by high homelessness in California is San Francisco.

And that uptick in homelessness, massive decline in affordable housing & rising living costs all correlate with one major industry within the area. Silicone Valley.

Forget who is to blame. 
 

I want someone who actually wants to do something about it. The whole point is that electing Trump puts us behind another 4 years. Most millennials will be be in their 40s by the time anything actually gets addressed. So depressing. 
 

But I do think states like California, New York, and Washington need to step up and do something on a state level. Doesn’t matter what it takes. The homelessness problem is just another thing that republicans LOVE to pin on democrats. Here I am in Texas for the holidays and my brother-in-law loves to **** talk democrats and I have no way to counter him when it comes to homelessness.

And this just goes to show that this can happen to about anyone, sometimes just some bad luck can put people in some difficult situations.

The future is bright though. Under Trump, the homeless figures will tumble. In three years time the numbers will be down to practically zero. Actual homelessness will have increased, but the numbers will be way down. You catch my drift ?
