DWAS on LG7 is the right choice

I hear you. But that still doesn't answer my question: What makes anyone think any song was removed to make room for DWAS? In the age of streaming that doesn't really seem like something artists need to worry about. Especially since she clearly made this decision a while back, so vinyl and CDs won't be a problem.

Also, just for fun, do you think ARTPOP would magically become a worse album if it had both MJH and Brooklyn Nights? (I think it would be a much better album, fwiw, as I like both songs.)

Im guessing people are talking about DWAS replacing this song in terms of it being the love ballad of the album?

- You’ve returned to ballads regularly throughout your career.
- I’m thinking of one record I didn’t put on my [upcoming] album that’s actually… I might put it out so I don’t want to share the name.

We don't even know the title of the album. We have no idea what concept the album has (other than it is chaotic). We just assumed that it will be a dark album listening to Disease and other 5-10 sec snippets.

Perfect Illusion and Stupid Love were very different from their respective albums. So we can't be sure about how the actual album will be or if DWAS really ruins the concept or cohesion of the album. Trust the process, Gaga knows how to fit DWAS into LG7 because she knows the most about LG7 right now.

For me it's just the fact that pre-release they said its a stand-alone track, a passion project between the two. But now after the sucess its the missing piece? After teasing and people losing their minds over DITS, Abra, Notorious and Disease? Girl_so_confusing.mp3

I love the song, for me its the 2024 Speachless, You&I, Brown eyes and I love it for the same reason why I adore those songs, they are timeless classics. Like Brown eyes and her acoustic preformances made me a fan, more than the actual big songs. But I dislike the disjointed presentation of what the song is. Like they could have said here's a track to keep you at bay before we get to the core of LG7 or whatever. This way it just kind of cheapens her image.

If an artist works on an album, they will be writing a plenty of songs that doesn't necessarily end up in the final cut. It doesn't mean that they have been replaced by other songs. Like songs like Princess Die and Brooklyn Nights were supposed to be in ARTPOP but didn't end up in the final cut even though they mean a lot to her. Songs like Vanity, Future Love, and Living On the Radio didn't end up in the respective supposed albums but she still loved these songs and performed them.

Likewise this particular song didn't end up in LG7, it doesn't necessarily mean DWAS replaced it. She may have mentioned this song because she loved this, that's it.

Cheapens her image in front of whom :icant:

GP don't give a fü*k about what she said months ago. If they stream DWAS, they stream LG7 too. Even Katykats can't troll us for this as she herself has done this with Smile album.

Who's to say it's not a bonus or deluxe track? We literally no nothing aside from the fact that it will be on the album in some form.

I also dislike this idea that it's "replacing a new song." We know virtually nothing about LG7. Why are you assuming that it's replacing something? For all we know, she could've had the tracklist done and just added DWAS at the very end of it.

It’s like you didn’t read the post. I said it should be a bonus track and “If” was the keyword here about replacing it with another song. Also, Gaga has switched songs out for other ones before like MJH and Brooklyn Nights so the idea isn’t so out of pocket. She’s also saying that she now has a song on LG7 that she’s saving for later.

I hope nothing changes from what she has done to LG7 already just to please other people. The only thing I want is that she puts Die With A Smile at the end like a bonus track and NOTHING else is changed. No removed songs, no replaced songs.

I hope she doesn’t think she “needs to appeal to the general public” to get another hit. Disease sounds like she’s finally gotten that Fame Monster / Born This Way / ARTPOP passion back. She got a massive hit with Die With A Smile and is a legacy artist that can take risks at this point in her career.

She is exactly pleasing her record label

but I guess that’s the way it is

i want another swine vomit kinda performance at least

but that purism is way gone

It was a genius move

She ensured commercial success for the album, and now she's free to deliver without that pressasure over her shoulders

As long as she’s not making a million different copies of LG7 like Taylor, I don’t mind DWAS on the album

The different genres aint the problem, the problem here is saying "I felt something was missing and it was DWAS so we decided to add it " when we all know its just to boost the album performance.

She called it a standalone, said it wasnt part of the album and then it became a hit and it suddenly was the missing part of it? Girl we all see the lies in that :brat:

Maybe Gaga should record a public apology saying:

"I'm sorry for being a greedy chart hungry hohoho, I'm such a big liar whose word shouldn't be trust ever again"

So maybe that way some of you guys can find peace and go head with their lives after such unforgiveable travesty she commited

I've heard this rumour a lot. Did Gaga herself claim this :partysick:

ARTPOP literally had a ballad like Dope which sounds NOTHING like Aura, Swine, MJH or the rest of the EDM production

The Fame had Brown Eyes who sounds nothing like the first half of the album which was 100% electropop RedOne productions

The Fame Monster had Speechless which sounds nothing like Bad Romance or Telephone

Why is everyone being so weird and so scared of this being on the album? Gaga's albums have always been very diverse

You And I also sounds like it doesn't fit Born This Way with its country influences , yet it does and it fits well on the album

I mean Rihanna did this too on her albums, go listen to Loud, that album was all over the place with Eurodance, electropop, ballads, dancehall, r&b, hip hop........

They’re being weird bc she said this was a standalone song and now it’s the missing core of the album lol that tells me that the album was already basically done and this was thrown on. Dope was in purposeful stark contrast to the calamity of ARTPOP. That’s a biiiig difference than not gelling bc it was thrown on an already finished album

but imo if the song is kinda plopped there and nothing else changes I can easily remove it so idgaf lol

She'd be absolutely insane and dumb not to include one of the biggest hits of her career on an album. This song is holding its own against Poker Face in terms of weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, it's solidifying itself as one of her defining signature tracks. This is the kind of song that sticks around and becomes a classic.

Honestly, I cannot stand when artists drop a massive hit and leave it as a standalone single, never putting it on an album. It feels like such a missed opportunity. Including it ties everything together, making the album a complete snapshot of that era. It just gives the whole project more weight and lasting impact.
