Sorry off topic but how small do u think most economies are? Even the poorest small Countries in Africa got a GDP of at least a few Billion :ladyhaha:

Maybe he was thinking islands in the Pacific. Tuvalu has the smallest economy in the world with a GDP of $70 million.

Sorry. I got ur point but found it funny cuz $600M is a real tiny ass economy. Thats like an island nation with no more than 10k or 20k people :ladyhaha:

But I did search up Portugals GDP (around 10 Million people) which is a GDP of $287B and Jeff Bezos is $238B. Thats actually insane :duck:

I wonder when the 1st Company will reach Canadas $2.2T GDP. Will probably be Nvidia:enigma:

One technicality to keep in mind tho, GDP is actual transactional value while companies market cap on average trade at least 15X actual earnings

Yeah but Amazon being so big, it's able to make lower prices than small stores and because everyone is trying to save money the small stores lose their customers and Amazon gets bigger the small stores close and customers don't have the choices anymore and then Amazon can raise prices again and rich get richer :enigma:

America could definitely use some injunctions and more regulation.  The game rules need to change.

Which is why we have laws against monopolies. Shame they never get enforced in any way :saladga:

The idea of a company getting that huge actually makes me sick, let alone a single individual :icant:

Imagine how much good could come from such a fortune. I don't get how these people aren't like...funding cancer research or space exploration (without the d*ck measuring contests).

If I had Musk's money my ass would have been to Mars by now and started human colonization efforts:saladga:

U think America is bad for monopolies? Our Corporate economy, monopolies and lack of competition is as bad as it gets :ladyhaha:

- 5 Banks control nearly 90% of Canadas banking marker (RBC, TD, CIBC, BMO and Scotia)

-2 Airlines are more than half of domestic market (Air Canada & West Jet with 3 others making the majority of the rest: Flair, Air Transat and Porter)

- 3 major telecom companies control most of market (Bell, Rogers and Tellus)

- 3 grocery chains are the majority of the market (i forget their names cuz all 3 have disguise multiple brands under their parent company)

- 1 coffee Shop (Tim Hortons) is at least 75% of the market (at least in my province)

Fun fact. I recently learned Canadas $2.2T economy with 41 Million people has a larger stock market than Germanys exactly double sized economy of $4.4T with 83M people.

The reason for that is because Germany has way more small and medium sized businesses that are not publicly listed. Canada with half the size has a larger stock market cap just due to the sheer proportion of the economy that is made up of large Corporations :rip:

Ughhhhh.

The world is such a sh*tty place.

People aren't allowed to get ahead anymore. They're either forced to be drones for people thousands of times wealthier than they are or be so poor they can't afford to eat. Very few exceptions to that.

I just searched it up

Canada:

#10 World Economy: $2.2Trillion

#6 By Equity Market cap: $3.4Trillion (so our stock market is 50% larger than GDP)

Germany:

#3 World Economy: 4.5T (it passed Japan)

#10 By Equity Market Cap: $2.1Trillion (so their stock market is less than half of GDP)

USA is $54T stock market aparently btw.

These numbers fluctuate daily obviously due to currency fluctuations and market movements but thats a ballpark

It means that both Canada & USA have more money in equity wealth than their actual economy entire annual output is worth. In otherwords most wealth is not doing anything productive :flop:

Germany which has smaller stock market has less homeless and extreme poverty than Canada & US. There seems to be an obvious correlation with Corporate share of economy and amount of inequality

Oh oh, right. Well yeah lol. Trickle down economics is a lie, most fortunes are just made of dead money sitting in some asshole's bank account.

It seems the richer a person or corporation gets, the fewer resources, respectively, they're willing to pump into a business or active investments.

Or whatever, idk I'm tired. You know what I mean.

Hell with it, I changed my mind.

Parasites make me more sick than worrying about a society falling into the law of the jungle.  This new world order crap isn't working out.

A 50/50 chance society would be grim and deadly, but it might be more fair than being wage slaves for an elite class of a slowly dying empire.

Welcome to the dark side

We didn't start the class war but I sure as sh*t hope we actually start fighting in it.

My "radicalization" process started at one of my old jobs when I realized I was making a pitiful $14 an hour while the CEO of the company I worked for was making the equivalent of $5,000 an hour, not including additional compensation, bonuses, and personal investments. Just pure salary. Yet we were the ones breaking our backs to run the business.

I have a friend working a retail job who's had numerous anxiety attacks from how stressful work is while making a poverty wage.

I myself haven't been able to consistently afford freaking healthcare despite having a full-time job for over a decade but some people fly around in private jets or visit space for funsies.

I don't understand that kind of absolute greed. It doesn't make sense and it shouldn't be allowed to exist.

I wish every billionaire and big CEO a very happy "f*ck off and d*e, the world is a better place without you" tbh.

So we want to kill Bezos, his family and friends because they are just rich enough to afford a lavish wedding?

So their crimes are by being rich from forming and leading a company that sells goods online to consumers and conveniently delivers to them?

Who's to blame for that? Think about it.

Yes. You're minimising the issue entirely. These people knowingly and willingly profitted off the hard work and suffering of millions. Without ever giving anything back to the people who actually built their empire while they sat in their thrones rubbing their hands and laughing. They wouldn't even provide BASIC human rights and working conditions for their workers. Their money is not EARNED it is STOLEN. They are pure evil. Not just some happy little family just like us with brothers and sisters and mothers and fathers. They are the scum of the earth and billionaires are the REASON that all of us have it hard. That millions of people are suffering, dying, living with no quality of life. They know all this and don't give a ****. They don't care about you. They wouldn't defend you if people were saying bad things about you. They wouldn't give a **** if you died right now. So stop licking their boots and bowing down to them and romanticising them as some happy family and wake up to the actual reality

When I first heard the news about the United Healthcare CEO getting gunned down in NYC, I was happy for a bit of poetic justice, but then I thought about it more...

What did it solve? A woman lost her husband and two kids lost their father...but is there any relief for those still dealing with denied claims?  Then what does that do to us to be okay with murdering our problems away?

Let's think about the goals here before we resort to brutal and uncivilized tactics to solve complicated problems.

If successful it radicalises the people to stop being complacent and actually fight back against the oppressive systems in place and total imbalance of power in their country. We are quickly headed towards a literal dystopia by definition and it's because of them. They aren't oblivious to what's going on. They were actively planning to try and find ways to not pay insurance and let millions of people suffer and die, so they can become EVEN MORE rich. As if having billions of dollars wasn't enough. To disregard your fellow man so blatantly and brutally is an crime against humanity

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
