I have a weird feeling they're not going to ban it and Trump will use it as a "look, youths! I saved your favorite app! Love me please!" but I hope I'm wrong. I'm all for the ban whether it's for good reasons or not (and it's not). We really mostly all do need to go a little more analog in our day-to-day lives and tiktok has a special kind of hold on people. It's not much of a help, but it's a start.

The Republicans, as a whole party, are divided over this, and their judges constitute a majority at the SCOTUS, therefore I cannot draw a prediction.

I think it will come all down to the personal preference of the judges, who will decide for America.

If they heard bad things about TikTOk, they may want to ban it.

If their nephew told them last Christmas how much he likes TikTok, they will keep it.

I suppose it's all arbitrariness rather than rule of the law.

In some way, the advantage of being a judge is that they are above the rule of the law, a form of luxury.

If they can regulate tiktok to make it more safe and accessible for the masses sure, but that platform is a dumpster fire along with Twitter and Facebook, which is funny because social media in itself is the toilet of the internet. TikTok banning wouldn’t affect me much as I don’t use it on a regular basis like I’m with YouTube or Twitter (another shithole), but I hope it doesn’t get banned because people still need a safe space for them to showcase their creativity with their short form videos. Hope the world government could regulate tiktok somehow or something but yeah the platform is just too huge for that ig.
