To the GP, they couldn’t give two fks about DWAS being shoehorned into the album - they would have no idea this was the case and likely can’t even tell you what the actual “lead single” was for any of her previous albums, so that’s cool and a good business move.

 

To some of her fans though, I can see why this is a bit disappointing and alienating. She prides herself on authenticity and engaging with her fans, but when she back tracks and contradicts herself (and hasn’t really shown much love to Disease, her supposed lead single, and a hit among her fans, without any explanation as to why she’s been quiet), it alienates and hurts some of her most loyal fans.

It’s not a big deal, but I think it has almost everything to do with how we as a fanbase treat other artists than Gaga herself.

The fact that some of y’all are legit so upset that DWAS is on LG7 is kinda pathetic tbh. Some of y’all are acting like she’s lost all her artistic integrity by putting the song on the album, but honestly, who cares?? It’s a great song and if she’s saying that the album is full of all types of genres and “chaos,” then it fits.

I swear, you guys think you know Gaga’s album better than she does. Do you think this means it’ll take up a spot from another song or something? Like, I’m genuinely trying to understand why anyone would have a serious issue with this. Because this is only a good thing imo. DWAS is great and obviously hugely successful, this’ll be great for LG7 in terms of its commercial success, which apparently so many of y’all care about.

Including "DWAS" on the album got me thinking—are we about to get the ultimate Lady Gaga album? One that shows off everything she’s about, from pop and rock to jazz, ballads, and beyond.  Sure, she’s always mixed genres in her albums, but is she really taking it to the next level this time?

We've been talking about chaos being associated with LG7 for months now on this forum. Let me guess, Gagas team set up a burner and pushed the "Chaos Angel" theory in here as preemptive damage control for the entire era?

But that’s the purpose, even though it’s probably more like a label decision than hers maybe. 
DWAS was always called a standalone project until now so it’s obvious… it might be a cheap move for some but many other singers have done it before so it’s not that big of a deal for such a meltdown lol
