The whole BTW shares heavy production with them though. From the so-called dark pop to yours truly Yoü and I.

Does Yoü and I really have a dark production :derpga: It's a country influenced song. There are many songs in BTW album that has a brighter sound like The Queen, Fashion of his Love, and The Edge of Glory. Her albums were never strictly cohesive or in one genre, closest being Chromatica.

sonically there's nothing share between Disease and DWAS.

Do Aura and Dope share any similarities sonically?

Do Speechless and Bad Romance share any similarities sonically?

Do Joanne and John Wayne share any similarities sonically?

Do Poker Face, Brown Eyes, Summerboy share any similarities sonically?

I'm still so excited for the album, but I am starting to worry a tiny bit about how it will all come together. I really like cohesive albums, that I can play start to finish with no skips. While I LOVE Gaga dabbling in different genres, a mix of genres on the same album doesn't sound good at all to me.

But I feel like Gaga said the same thing about Joanne, being a mix of genres, and I consider that to be a cohesive album. She described Harlequin that way too, so maybe there is nothing to worry about

No it don't. But the whole BTW shares the likes of heavy production and rock influence just like little monsters always said. Even without an exam on its influence. I will say Black Jesus and Bad Kids bridge Bloody Mary and Fashion of His Love pretty well.

The Queen itself, despite having a brighter sound, is in fact shares the same rock-ish, loveyourself123 aesthetics and influence with the rest of the album.

You know what? They don't. I think what made Dope work is that that thin layer of electronic production lay in its rock ethos. You might think it's just a simple ballad. But I find the simplicity of electronic elements the point that makes Dope connect with the rest of the album.

You know what? They don't. The Fame Monster as an EP do not require that absolute sound cohesiveness as a LP should possess. To extended simple theme of fear in to 8 tracks, while all share the dark aesthetics. Speechless placement in the album isn't really that out of place.

You know what? They don't. In fact, Joanne as the record is more like Beyoncé's Sasha Fierce (a double disc album divided into catchy-pop and introspective ballads.) And that won't stop me to raising my eyebrows about DWAS.

Of course they don't. What made Brown Eyes and Summerboy really work is the fact that it's the first Lady Gaga record. Where the goal is to sell us the image of Lady Gaga. Cheap electronic production, soft piano ballad, and Summerboy, which is my favorite that share the same sunny vibe with Eh Eh.

Sorry but why there's people saying that she took songs out of the album to add DWAS? I swear some of you would even make things up just to have something to bitch about.

And you know what, at first I wasnt sold on the idea, but at the end of the day she's part of an industry and she needs the numbers, so if we have people like Shakira that can release a playlist of random singles branded as a new album, why can't Gaga use one of the biggest songs of the year and one of the biggest songs of her career on her own album? Besides, we still don’t know how many tracks we will get or how many genres there's gonna be on the album, it might work on the final product, we basically know nothing about the album.

The fact that this thread is how I found out some people think that Brown Eyes, Speechless or 100 Doves don’t belong on their albums… :triggered:

I dont want a (too) cohesive album. They are so boring. Sweet N Short is a great example for that, some great songs but a lot of album tracks are not able to stand out

it reminds me a little of how some people felt about "you and I" when BTW came out, and now it's impossible to imagine it not being on the album. everyone is talking about the chart strategy by including DWAS, but I'm focused on how much Gaga absolutely loves this song, you can see the way she lights up when she sings it or talks about it. fans are also comparing its sound to the paris snippets, when we don't even know if those made the cut!

I would be devastated if those don’t make the cut !

I believe that even if the album is not cohesive the single rollout will be. She's not going to jump around like this... right...? Don't quote me on this one

I just quoted you :trollga:

Jumping around like what? What do you mean sincerely?

I need somebody to link me to where she said that the album jumps around genres from before dwas came out. I really need that. People keep saying it but I don't think it's true.

She also talked about "breaking genres" during TCB red carpet interviews and she constantly said that she felt very free making Harlequin and LG7.

I think the music speaks for itself tbh. Harlequin and Disease, and maybe to an extent DWAS, all sound very different than what she's done before—particularly when it comes to her style of singing. I remember her talking about how she learned to sing differently for Joker, and that she wanted to transfer that same energy to her other music too, and it shows.

I'm not looking at the replies for my peace. It's been weeks, are there still little complainers? :lolly:

Spoiler

Kinda dumb on my part if I'm trying to protect my peace, but the petty in me wants to remind y'all that there's absolutely nothing to worry about. :lolly:
