Becky G’s video surpassed other major international hits, including Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars‘ Die With a Smile, which secured second place with 298.6 million views.

whaat, most watched music video of 2024 has 313 million views only? where are the times when music videos pulled 1 billion views easily? I guess nowadays people watch music videos only once or twice and then continue listening to the song on streaming services. but anyways, it feels weird, like music videos are dying

I don't get why their data begins in the previous year, in the same way I don't get why many awards shows also take in content that came out in the last few months of the previous year. A year in content creation should run from January - December, why would you do different? DWAS is the most viewed video of the entire year of 2024, fact.
