Even though it immediately did better than Try This, it took until U+Ur Hand was released as a single and Who Knew to be re-released as one for this era to really take off. Anyways, I agree The One That Got Away should have been a single. I Have Seen The Rain is also such a beautiful and emotional album closer. It’s very weird to see Try This as an album that underperformed because she made it forced by her record label as a way to say “you want me to write 10 songs? Here you go” to just move on from it and ended up winning a Grammy.

Yes, and also because it’s P!nk’s most rock-influenced and punk-influenced album, which is generally considered to be her signature sound. To be fair, I’m also deliberately claiming it underperformed instead of straight up flopped, because it generally still did well especially overseas. But it didn’t live up to the huge success of M!ssundaztood overall. I also read a theory that because all the singles were soundtracks for movies and shows around that time (Trouble was in countless commercials, God Is A DJ went on Mean Girls, Feel Good Time for Charlie’s Angels) people felt she ‘sold out’. That combined with the unpleasant way her label pressured her to make this album and the fact that this was also the era in which she broke her partnership with Linda Perry, who played a huge part in M!ssundaztood. Rainbow - Kesha 4. I’m Not Dead - P!nk 5. Life Support - Madison Beer TASTE, I love this album so much too. I feel like this is definitely her best album, but I barely see anyone talking about it. What’s your fav songs? Mine are Long Way To Happy, I’m Not Dead and Runaway. Goodbye Lullaby is so underrated. It's my 3rd favorite Avril album after Under My Skin and Let Go. Perfect from start to finish. I'm Not Dead is also a killer P!nk album, nice to see it getting love here. 8 hours ago, River said: I think there's something very special with this one, it's something that will never be replicated, I know that it's not a pop masterpiece, but every song in this album brings a mix of emotions, some kind of freedom, fun, carefree, feelings Rolling Stones Magazine gave i 1.5 stars at that time https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-album-reviews/spice-249730/ f*ck u Christina Kelly I love this one so much but Spice Up Your Life as a lead single was everything to me and listen to that way more than Wannabe. All of the Spice tracks are great and still listen to them. Say You'll Be There, 2 Become One, Mama, Who Do You Think You Are, Something Kinda Funny are all The Spice Girls and Aqua albums bring me so much joy. I'm Not Dead is the mark of a true P!nk fan vs a casual listener tbh. It's the perfect distillation of everything that makes up "P!nk". Humour, politics, rock & pop blending together, powerful ballads & deep reflective tracks mixed with stupid just for fun tracks. 1 1
