Tbh I think it might be. There are a bunch of scientific articles about her but most of the ones I've seen around are from 2014 and before, mostly dealing with fame and pop culture. I'm really curious what might get published about her in the future.

There are so many people who have done this though. She doesn't really hold a candle to Cher or Madonna in this lane so I don't know why she would be "studied" for adopting different aesthetics over 15+ years.Ā

It’s her being a true Chameleon though! I’d say she’s in a league of her own, really. Yes, they may have done it first but Gaga takes it to a whole another level. Also not just appearing & looking different but also always sounding different too!Ā

What Gaga can be credited for is bringing theatricality back to pop music and she was very influential in the first few years of her career. But exceeding her predecessors, no. I think we can appreciate what Gaga brings without discrediting the legends.Ā
