I mean, they didn't really promote it enough and stress that she wrote it, who knows about it except pop fans? for a regular movie goer, it's just another waltz.

They really missed the opportunity here.

 

But also, considering the date, maybe it's not even eligible for this year?

The movie was destroyed by critics and the general public, why are you expecting it to be nominated for anything?

Beyond the discussion of how good or bad you found the movie to be, sadly it is obvious it's gonna be nowhere to be seen during awards season and if anyone is expecting the opposite, they are setting themselves up for disappointment.

I'm even expecting the movie to be on every joke they make during opening speeches during awards ceremonies, so brace yourselves.

I feel this shouldn't be surprising. And expect more snubbing to come. It is better to be at peace that this movie is not in anyone's awards agenda, except maybe razzies. 
Try not to expect too high on this project.
