My mother has a video of her telling me off because I was repeating ‘wish I could shut my playboy mouth’ in the bath at four she hated Gaga at first, thought she was a bad influence on me. And even then it wasn't until ARTPOP (and maybe the tail end of BTW - I LOVED You and I when I first heard it) that I stanned. I was (and mostly still am) an indie rock guy. I liked Britney, but other than I remember listening to a lot of Muse, Linkin Park, The Killers, Queens of the Stone Age, The Distillers, The Strokes, Green Day and Paramore.
