Wow, just woke up and honestly felt like I was still in a nightmare after seeing the news… This is just awful.

I may not be American, but this still feels really worrying for the world. It’s like we’re moving backwards.

I’m so tired of seeing Trump’s face everywhere, and now it’s going to be like this for another 4 years…

I was really looking forward to the U.S. having its first female president. So disappointing. 😔

It scares me so much to think that even if Trump can’t run again in 2028, Republicans might try to find someone with the same mentality just to keep the momentum of what they’ve accomplished with Trump.

Can we at least go back descent boring candidates?

I just fail to understand how you can incite an insurrection and be rewarded for years later with the highest office in the country with record voting in your favor. Absolutely unhinged. So ****ing stupid. I did not think it was possible for me to be able to think less of humans.

1. Biden is so unpopular that he had to be swapped out for a new candidate. When Kamala was announced, she surged and it looked like a lock because she was ANYONE but Biden. She then spent the next several months running the most right-wing campaign that any Democrat has run in decades, campaigned with a bunch of Republicans and literally said that she "couldn't think of anything" she wouldn't have done differently than Biden. 2. She and Biden prioritized the genocide of Palestinians over their own reelection. She lost districts that Biden won in 2020 with 88% of the vote.

3. She employed virtually the same exact campaign strategy that Clinton ran in 2016 and begged Republicans (that were never going to be swayed) to vote for her while ignoring her base. Republicans already have a party and pandering them just alienates your own voters. This is common sense.

This should've been the biggest layup election ever and they completely botched it. I don't even know what to say about that kind of incompetence and the gaul you have to have to prioritize genocide (horrific and evil on its own) and push right-wing policy and subsequently risk this kind of disastrous outcome. 

1) 99.9% of voters don't care about the genocide over their own interests. The genocide was never going to sway the election. 

 

2) Clinton assumed she had Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan in the bag and didn't spend much time or resources in those states. The "firewall" as they called it. Kamala spent a significant amount of time in all of those states, knowing they were key to 270. 

 

Extending a parallel between her and Clinton, as well as Biden, aren't going to make people more empathetic to your cause.
