I suggest reading comprehension for both of you. :iamfair:

"IT is a great gross for a musical,,,"

And that's true for any musical in general, when you don't look at the budget. Never said anything delusional here. :bye:

Wonka, the 2023 fantasy musical starring Timothée Chalamet as Willy Wonka, grossed $634.4 million at the global box office

$125M budget.

I suggest knowing what the hell you are talking about. It is idiotic to claim a movie is a success and also ignoring the budget.

And you totally missed the point, like always...

If You Say So Shrug GIF

Spoiler

And tbh, I didn't even know Wonka was musical, but many movies for children have musical elements wbk.

Your point is null because it’s complete nonsense. That’s not how a movie’s success is measured.

I just explained his point, which you guys didn't seem to get. How many percent of musicals passed $200M? That's probably the best way to measure his point.

Btw to OP: FAD already passed $200M

Two completely irrelevant measures to this movie’s success. Stay delusional.

I guess the movie was a failure and nothing is going change that. Either way I went to see it last week and I enjoyed the movie very must, I guess that after reading everything that was commented here I was expecting something horrible and boring.

Joaquin Phoenix was phenomenal in my opinion (but I thought that in first movie too) and Gaga was awesome matching Joaquin in every scene together.

The movie it's not nearly that bad, has critics made it out to be. My only critic was the ending, it was prolonged to much, after the explosion in courthouse.

I don't know if I was expecting something so bad that I really enjoyed the movie.

I can’t wait when the masses give it a chance and stream it. Clips of Gaga go viral on Tiktok and the DEMAND soars!!! They put it back in theatres a SMASH HIT and reaches 3 BILLION in profit! A week later they announce Harlequin: Folie Des Monstres  :firega:

im confused, I read in Forbes that The Numbers reported 190 million before advetisement and prints, but then Variety reported a 200m budget in total, with 100m of those being for A&P, meaning the movie itself took 100m to make, also Todd said for variety too that reported 200m cost of making was  false, so what is the truth? which is the reliable source here? if this is true with this the movie would be breaking even and making a pofit with streaming

edit: sorry, i read again, the article was worded weirdly and i got the 200m was total, but it says cost of production, and then 100m in A&P, but then why would Todd deny it if variety had access to the production of it?

You can stay delusional, why are you even here? I proved my point and you can't digest it, what's new?

Stop being so negative ffs, stop quoting me if you have nothing polite to say... :bye:

I will stop quoting you when you stop posting nonsense about this movie. It’s amusing to witness such delusion.
