HermesGr 1,124
I believe they build it in waves. First the song, articles, then (next week) the music video, articles, after (first 10 days November) a live performance. Its a nice timing to use both songs Disease nad DWAS for a live performance 2in1 nnpush them both but this has to do with Brunos schedule so its not easy, but they can combine with a live tv performance for Disease and video from live session with Bruno (little manager). And all this will lead to the end of November. December with all the Christmas songs on charts they can release till 15/12 the Harlequins live sessions and give another boost to Happy Mistake and Close to You. (big manager) Around January 10 release the second single (DITS?) and album preorder with same schedule for one+ month.. ..till late February when they will release the album together with the third single and big tour announcement. 🤡

I dont care if the song charts at #99 if gaga is happy and talks about it and does something with it. But, in all honesty, I’ve seen more enthusiasm on her promoting lipstick, I dont know what to think anymore Just because she doesn’t post on social media 100 times and hasn’t performed it a number of times to your liking doesn’t mean she’s not enthusiastic about her music Edited October 27 by Awrah999 2
Edonis 28,590
I mean, it’s still early so anything can happen, but this isn’t all that surprising. Without any sort of presence to let causal listeners or the GP know that the song is out, of course it’s going to trickle out. And tbh, it’s not the genre. With streaming, even the least radio friendly music can still get legs in its own niche. Look at the current songs increasing in streams in her discography: Bloody Mary, Judas, Government Hooker, Scheiße (which was crazy surprising), not just her ballads. There’s legitimate interest in her weirder, more electronic songs. The roll out has been very weird. But anyways, we’ll see how this plays out next week. At the very least, if the music video is good, we can expect some parts of it to go viral on TikTok.

Gen Z doesn’t care about Disease unfortunately I don't think this is the case Disease having similar initial streams than DWAS proves that people were excited for Gaga's comeback to pop music maybe it's just that the song is not THAT good, it is good, i like it, but not lead single good in addition to literally inexisting hype from her about it anyway i hope the video helps to turn the numbers Edited October 27 by zerojk

Longevity with Christmas right around the corner is gonna be hard to achieve and you need people on your side since day 1, you can't use 4 weeks to build support cause by the time those weeks have gone by Christmas songs will be dominating the charts. This is her best lead and Im enjoying and streaming the **** out of it but it's messy that we are getting nothing. Okay then, I respect your take, but I don’t entirely agree and I don’t think top 25 is all this song will offer Gaga eventually or that Interscope won’t do anything to push it further. I still very much believe they have a plan. I just saw DWAS is looking at a nr. 2 peak for the Nov 9 week from early predictions with a nr. 1 being possible too, they could very well count on the Disease hype to push that song to 1 before they push this one. They held out for the physical releases of DWAS for a reason and it paid off. There has to be a strategy or plan B & C for Disease too.
Kaevin95 61
50 minutes ago, moonsago said: I have to disagree, some of you think Bad Romance was GP friendly because now looking back it was succesful. But there are so many other factors that play in, the reality is Gaga had a lot of hype behind her during that time just for her simple existance, she was new and she was exciting. Anything she would have released at that time would have done at least well. Do you really think, for example, that Sabrina’s PPP is really a nr. 1 song or is it obviously the curent hype behind her that pushed that song to the top? Not even Espresso, her real actual hit this year peaked at nr. 1 BUT the hype of that song generated hype for her which pushed PPP to nr. 1. There are so many other factors as to why a song ends up being succesful. We need to stop acting like Gaga’s earlier stuff was GP friendly, it was not, it was new and pushed the boundaries of pop music. Other stans are erasing her legacy as a cultural icon that changed the music scene as we speak, can we at least not do that too? I reread my reply and I feel like it comes across as harsh, and just wanted to let you know it’s not, I’m not coming for you, I’m just disagreeing. I got you, no harsh at all 😘. I will shortly explain you my thought: i became a fan of Lady Gaga because of Bad Romance. I was the GP before. Do we think Disease can make anybody in the GP a fan of her? I don't know and i hope so, but that's the key for me. Dwas is a huge hit, why? Because that song has everything, good lyrics, good sound, amazing chorus. Dwas is a hit for the GP. Disease, imo, is a song for us. We wanted back dark gaga and hard synths from the pop decade ago, nothing like it is in the radio rn. I am not mad at all about it, i love this! **** the GP but if the new gen wants to embrace this song and this era i will be happy af, if not i will still be happy af.

DWAS is everything the GP want. Its easy, it’s relatable and its an amazing song. I don’t think Disease is that relatable, its a good song but not mind blowing. The greatness of this song is not being argued. The song is freaking fantastic. Gaga is not being criticized. She is fantastic. What is being critiqued is the strategy for a lead single rollout that falls short of any lead single rollout thus far in her discography, and the frustration that the song has incredible reach and potential if given that attention. I think it goes both ways though. Cause some people (not you) are acting like they work in marketing or the music industry and feel like they could do Gaga’s rollout better than her or her team despite the fact that she’s been in the industry for 15+ years. We ALL want Gaga to speak up more. I don’t think anyone is arguing that. If I had it my way, we’d get the music video and dozens of interviews and photoshoots out by now. But it’s only Day 3…if nothing continues to happen in the next week, then yeah, it’ll be annoying and frustrating. But it’s still early days. I think there is an overreaction to the way some people are critiquing her. The era has quite literally just begun, let’s wait to see what she does before acting like this era is over. Longevity comes through slow drip and repetitious advertising. You have to keep the public’s interest. People clearly love the song. It’s a hit. But if people don’t have it in their face all week, they’ll forget about why they like it. 1 hour ago, Juanlittlem said: Is the strategy debuting on 25th and stay stable at top 40 for 2 additional weeks? 'cause thats what we're looking at. If it is, props to them for succeeding I guess! Can yall just pipe it please. I guess yall clearly haven't seen the massive screens in major cities. Plus a music video the week after is better for longevity anyway. The fact that you are getting positive reactions to your posts is sad. Same with everyone else in this thread peddling this stuff.
