It's no Bad Romance but it's a great first single to introduce the new era. Knowing Gaga, the second and third singles are usually better, so I'm really looking forward to that.

Also hope the video for Disease will enhance the song. 

The song itself is a solid 7.5/10 for me.

ahah i was thinking linkin park and system of a down at first listen, with a nine inch nails kind of beat but all very bubbly ahhah kinda fun.

it’s not GO friendly, longer than 3min, and very unorthodox compared to bubble pop songs (e.g. APT and Espresso). 
 

but I love it! i love PI as well! It makes me hype. 

Idk if it will click or not but, looking at the lyrics and their repetitiveness ,it is  probably the most commercial song in the album. So they probably still expect this to be successful

Disease promises more than it actually delivers. The beginning is pretty good but then it just repeats itself and never really goes anywhere.

Moreover, I also don’t understand the comments comparing the success of DWAS with the potential success of Disease... These are completely incomparable songs... it’s normal and makes sense.

Neutral. It's a good song and I adore the production (at least it reassured me on the sound that LG7 will have, with this dark/industrial pop) but somehow it needs to grow on me

Im so confused to why anybody was expecting the music video to drop at the same time as the single release..? It makes perfect sense to release the single at midnight (for the US), let lil monsters react to it, let the song breath, build hype and let speculations run wild. 12 hours later WHEN GAGA, HER TEAM AND THE PRESS is actually awake you can release the music video with her talking and posting about it.

The fact she can bring HML Bloody Mary vibes back **13 years later** but now with advanced vocals and a metal tinge ……. This is an impressive feat and emphasises the genius of those songs in her pop discography...

We’ve had nothing like this was so long….. she gave us full pop/house with Chromatica…. My question is why will this drive music trends back into any other nu-metal / heavy efforts

I just listened to it and I'm floored. She is literally feeding us everything we have asked for. I tried to do a reaction video but I was just too stunned   

For me it's the fact it's
- catchy. A real earworm that instantly gets stuck in your head
- giving 'Gagaisms' those unique vocal things that are quintessential Gaga
- sounds throwback but also new and fresh
- darker and harder in sound that we've heard from her in a long time

The lyrics are a little safe but the song is so good that I actually don't care. And I'm a real lyrics person so that says something

It's not terrible but I thought the delivery would be a little different  The production is stellar, but the stale lyrics drag it to where it sounds like an filler track on Born This Way. I listened to it 20 times now and it still hasn't grown on me. Not forcing myself to like something. I'm 100% sure LG7 will put out some bops and a mid lead single doesn't mean a mid album, so fingers crossed!
