Not necessarily. Doja Cat released "Attention" as her first single from Scarlet, but "Paint the Town Red" is considered the lead. I could have seen Gaga going this route with Disease and following it up with the lead, releasing both in one short film visual when the lead single dropped. But like I mentioned before, I didn't think that was the case when I read back on the SL and PI announcements and she also called them the "first single" as well.

It's a very addicting song and an intriguing video. Wherever I go, I hear her voice echo in my mind throughout the day, even when I go to bed.

This is the DarkGa I've been waiting for...  She hinted at her darkness numerous times.  it appears we're getting a glimpse of her Jungian shadow, and a more complete picture of who she is and the demons she struggles with.

She is a fearless woman and I applaud her efforts to express something deeper and visceral.

Yeah, sorry, I should have been specific. I meant that in the precedence of Gaga’s announcements ‘first single’ and ‘lead single’ have meant the same thing
