GerMonsterNotta 667
Gosh thanks so much for resharing… such powerful words Put simply Lady Gaga, is not one thing, she is many things…. Constant change and diverse talent is part of her DNA… There will be parts of the tapestry that each of us will prefer to others - that’s art! That’s personal taste! But I hope people maintain respect that she is bold enough to spin a career which demonstrates RANGE and CREATIVITY…. THIS is Gaga Edited October 24 by GerMonsterNotta

Chlorine 47,975
I don’t need a monologue with all due respect... Let the work speak for itself. To me… she seems insecure about who she is as an artist, and is trying to make sense of it and justify the existence of her split passions. That’s why Happy Mistake is meh to me. Like who is forcing you to be anything other than authentic? Who forced you to play the part of the strung out girl? Certainly not us. And if you were not yourself then, who is it that you’ve found your way back to, and why should we care if we never knew the real you? All that said I am still perched for Disease and wish her much success and happiness. 1 1

Thank you for posting this! This is super important – and there will always be fans who won't be able to take their "little manager" hats off, but we can't let that ruin our enjoyment of what Gaga is sharing with us tonight.

Just piss off and don't rain on the fans' parade. 1

Lmao 1

Lmao Exactly. Even if it did, the pressure she's talked about receiving to change her art or image and the pressure we know artists (especially women in the industry) get from their label/managers/fans is crazy and valid to point out critically. Like I'm thinking of the part in Five Foot Two where she said she had to find ways to spin things into something interesting to feel more in control. The things we've gotten are still amazing, but I wonder what our favorite songs, music videos, performances would have looked like if she didn't have people telling her to always look "sexy" earlier in her career.
