But literally every new release is touted as a return to form. Either way I know I’ll be pleased. Haven’t had a Gaga project that I was let down by yet.

well page six is a feature of the ny post so they def have some inside scoop on a song set to be released in less than 2 days

I would just try to enjoy whatever we get without any expectations. I'm not saying the new song/video won't be pop or dark, I just don't think that comparing it to her previous work will do anything.

My only hope is that Gaga is going back to her idea of a techno pop music that feels like rock, which was the very essence of her sound in BTW and ARTPOP. 

(Joanne was a transitional album with a concept of its own, and it’s good as it is.)

I think that Chromatica is good enough but I can hide that I always felt like it was musically less “Gaga” (lyrics are 100% her, the production is more a Bloodpop and friends work, she said herself that all the songs were remixed several times by multiple producers… besides, the songs are too short, sometimes they sound like they end before even starting… I never got over the fact that Alice has only one verse, I can’t believe it was written like that, all tracks were more likely shortened in post production for streaming and vinyl pressings reasons… just my idea of course)

I would be very happy if she sells good in this era, but what I really crave for is her taking risks again, and get back to what made her unique and iconic in her imperial period (and to what she clearly likes the most).
