Let me give some references of what I want below: It's not that I want EXACTLY this. It's more in terms of the rhythm and the beat, not so much the harmonies. Yes, they have those influences, but they're still drenched in the same salad dressing, that's what I mean, and I love ARTPOP so much, that's what makes it cohesive. All of those songs have different patterns to their rhythms, harmonies, hooks, but when it comes to sound design they all have a similar sounding synth and similar sounding drums, the timbres are all very similar, that glues them together and makes them cohevise but it makes the backbone influences not shine through that much.
