alerkingo 15
"The Nightingale and the Rose" is a short story by Oscar Wilde about a student who needs a red rose to win the heart of his beloved. A Nightingale, moved by the student's love, sacrifices her life to create a red rose for him. However, the student is ultimately rejected by the girl, who values jewels more than flowers. The story highlights the themes of love, sacrifice, and the contrast between true beauty and superficiality.
