Twitter can literally make or break movies, songs, careers, etc. True. But also these kind of apps inform that this or that film is nothing like what the studio pushes it to be through promos etc. Studios should watch and learn instead of deceiving audiences into paying tickets. Which, in the case of Joker 2, just didn‘t happen. Period. 🤷🏼♂️

I was thinking that the other day. Lady Gaga totally should have tried to do smile 2.

The hate should go be redirected to Katy instead The fact that Gaga, Katy, and Beyoncé, are receiving the biggest influx of hate they ever had in their careers simultaneously, in 2024, is so iconic . Plastic Flower 5,334
This movie was set to be a failure the moment the decided to include the musical aspect. The DC incels would never support it or Gaga. Drop it

James Gibson 3,550
It's what Todd deserves for doing such movie that only drags the already dull first movie topics in that stupid court instead of moving the story foward with something new (Harley and even the musical parts). I'll forever say this movie doesn't work cause it was too stuck in the original one rather than people saying its because it was too different, it was not. Arkhan and the trial were terrible plot devices to discuss that stupid duality between Arthur and Joker, the discussion was not even interesting. Todd is not enough of an auteur to believe he did something bold or provocative there, it's just insignificant. And give Gaga more screentime ofc, her presence was bizarrely small. Emvee 8,565
Disaster. One of the biggest bombs ever and our girl had to be attached to the project. And this being only her third big movie makes it even worse. I have not seen the Gaga hate everyone always seems to be talking about, but I have seen the big narrative that Hollywood hates men so they did everything they could to trash a project that they cherished. It’s such a pathetic argument considering Hollywood is still dominated by toxic men, but an incel’s perception of Hollywood is probably that it’s dominated by feminists and LGBT, which Gaga is a symbol of.
